Hi there,

My name is Patty and I recently had the Vertical Sleeve on July 28th 2014. I had my thyroid removed the day after I graduated high school and it seems every year since then I have gained 10 pounds. This of course was not all due to that issue but just life. 20 years later I can't keep up with my 8 year old daughter and my knees are going out. I have always been very active and for this to happen before I'm 40 is very sad. So I started me search on gastric surgeries. I think I searched on the computer and looked at blogs for over 2 years before I finally decided to make this huge life change. I"m so happy I did even though I'm only a month out from surgery I feel so much better and am focused on me for a change. I want to be able to have fun and play with my daughter not just sit in the corner because I can't keep up and this surgery is helping me do this.
