  8. I'm in. Will come up with goal in couple days :-)
  9. The exercising really helped me bust through those frustrating times. Also writing down or sharing my non-scale moments. We aren't going to be perfect just because we had surgery...constantly gotta remind myself
  10. It will be 5 months on Feb 4th since surgery and 80lbs since Feb 2014. So grateful!!!
  11. It will be 5 months on Feb 4th since surgery and 80lbs since Feb 2014. So grateful!!!
  12. So glad to see you are feeling better! You and your wife will continue to be in my prayers
  13. Four Month Check-in! Today is 4 months since surgery and I've lost 40lbs, about 10lbs per month, making a total of 75lbs since last feb!! Thanks for all your support!!!
  14. Progress! Journey began with losing around 30lbs before surgery and then 27lbs so far after surgery on 9/4/14. Been almost 2 months and feeling good! Pictures from April 2014 and today!!
  15. Same here!!! So exciting!!!
  16. Had surgery 9/4/14 and lost around 22lbs so far. At first I was disappointed, but after reading the experiences of others I felt better. Also even though my weight loss is a bit slower than I expected I've moved from size 18 to size 12 in pants. My body shape looks and feels completely different. Just a friendly reminder for us all that the scale is not the only indicator of success.
  17. Surgery was 9/4 and I wore a tight 18. Today tried on some pants and walked out with a size 14! I've been stalling on buying clothes because I know I will lose more but my pants are all way too big :-)
  18. I just told close friends and trusted family. Told my work I needed abdominal surgery due to a medical issue and that my eating will look different when I get back because of the healing process. They seemed satisfied and just glad I returned to work lol
  19. Hi everyone, Congrats on the sleeve! I'm will be 1 month post op on the 4th. My biggest challenge so far is low energy and getting sick of swallowing all these pills!! I started this in a tight size 18 and I'm around a size 14 currently :-) Pretty excited about this!! Highest: 275 (feb 2014) Pre: 250.7 (July 2014) Day of surgery: 237.5 (sep 4) Current: 218.6 (oct 2)
  20. I'm in the same stall right now. Good to read about the experience of others
  21. 16 days post-op and doing great! Eating soft foods and energy is returning. Liquids are not a problem anymore and getting protein is easier now since I struggled with the shakes my dr let me monitor protein by food instead :-)
  22. Had first post op appointment today (13 days) and down 14 pounds since surgery. Dr said everything is going good and approved me for next phase of food!
