  1. Checking in. How's it going? Today I drove for the first time! It was good to get out of the house. I miss eating. Even things that I wouldn't have particularly cared for previously sound wonderful right now, lol. Just to be able to chew. My incisions are starting to itch a bit. Has anyone researched scar creams/treatments? Wondering what might be good to treat the scars after they heal. Hope everyone is well!!
  2. I absolutely love this thread. I'm a bit of a foodie and do enjoy cooking, so this provides so much reassurance for me. I'm only 4 days out but looking forward to trying some of these recipes down the road. Awesome thread!
  3. Thats the date I'm looking forward to as well!!
  4. I have both the liquid and pill form off it. I've been taking the liquid twice a day but may switch to the pill just to see if there is a difference. I too cannot wait for this first month to be up. I knew from the beginning that this would be difficult and told myself I would try to maintain as much positivity about it, but I'm already ready to fast-forward a few weeks. What is everyones 1st month diet progression like? Mine is liquids for 2 weeks, purees for 2 weeks and then moving on to soft foods.
  5. So, I think I'm feeling hunger which is unexpected. Does anyone else have hunger? I moved on to full liquids from clears last night. I do think the added substance of the full liquids has been helpful, but I still feel some hunger. Maybe its because i'm not getting all of my fluids and Protein in. Today I'm going to focus on getting as close to my protein and Fluid goals as possible. Also, feeling tired today. <sigh>
  6. I've had a bit of productive coughing.
  7. Hi Carol! Congrats! I was sleeved on the 3rd. How's your incision pain?
  8. Hope everyone still in the hospital will make it home soon!
  9. I too am still having gas but it hasn't been terribly bad. Not getting much in before I feel tightness. Aiming for a few ounces every hour, but I'm not stressing about it at this point. I am on clears until Sunday, so it's just been jello, crystal light, isopure and broth. Pain meds have made a big difference in my level of comfort. I've been trying to use sparingly though.
  10. Home now and missing my pain pump. Incision sites are pulling and painful. Ready to go to bed and try again tomorrow. Hopefully everyone has made it home?
  11. Sitting in radiology awaiting my leak test. Then I should be good to go.
  12. Hi Sept 3 sleevers! How is everyone feeling? I'm doing okay so far. Going for my upper GI this morning and then I can begin sipping. Pain level Is pretty good, just discomfort at the surgical sites.
  13. Good luck! Today is my surgery day as well!
  14. Hope your surgery went well!
  15. Yes, glad to know it's not just me! Today has been a little rough for me. Ready to move forward! Sorry to hear about your Labor Day. Things are going to get better!!!
  16. I started clear liquids today (surgery on Wednesday). Had Unjury chicken broth, regular broth, SF jello (with unflavored Unjury), water and a few sips of Isopure. I have had so much painful gas and belching. Could it be the unjury? Ugh!
  17. I'm on the 3rd. Nerves are starting to get to me too.
  18. Congrats! My date was changed from 8/29 to 9/3. Nerves starting to set in!
