  1. Sending up prayers for all surgeries!! May they all be uncomplicated and as pain-free as possible.
  2. Awesome! Slim and toned also!!
  3. You are amazing!! So strong and determined. I am blown away!
  4. Tee Hee! Right now the only thing in Victoria's Secret that fits me is the lotion. But I'm gonna' get there!
  5. Love the positive attitude!!! You are going to do great! Keep us updated.
  6. Hey Dabber, what does your doc say about the effect of the probable weight loss on your liver disease? Prayers going up for your healing.
  7. IMO when you post publicly you are leaving yourself open to the "public's" opinions. I was taught to do my utmost to spare other's feeling (the old Southern Hospitality thing). However as I have aged, I have learned that there are many different people with many different schools of thought. I must either develop a thick skin or stay away from things that may pierce thin skin.
  8. You said it Rog. Lisa, maybe you could suggest that your husband try one or two days of the liquid diet both pre-op and post. Just to get an idea of how "easy" it will be for you. As for your doc...SWITCH!
  9. Success stories are so great! Thanks for yours.
  10. You look great! Such an inspiration. I can't wait for my day!
  11. I know what you mean. I live here and if it doesn't taste good, they just add another stick of butter and a cup of sugar!! LOL
  12. Well, you know the old addage "It's the bit dog that barks!" I think you were "Spot" on...pun intended.
  13. Yea for you!!!! Attitude is everything!
  14. Thanks for posting this. I know that even with the surgery, I am in for the fight of my life to break bad eating habits and mental food issues. Just seeing through your experience that it can be done is inspiration!
  15. Not that you weren't beautiful before, but you are an absolute knockout now!!
  16. Hey Kindle, Can you please PM me also. I value your opinion and am seriously considering Dr. Elias Ortiz. Thanks.
  17. Great job Jenny!!! You are looooookin' gooooooood!!
  18. What a jerk! He should have mentioned the possible side effects of the pain medicine as well.
  19. Good for You! There are so many positive results from this surgery. I hope to get mine scheduled for November. Although my insurance doesn't pay for WLS, I am willing to pay for it myself to improve my health.
  20. Just a thought, but have you tried liquid Vitamins? There are some really good ones out there.
  21. haleytrim replied to fezik23's topic in Food and Nutrition
Thanks for the info Fezi. I put much more faith in the suggestions and advice on here that I do in advertisements!
  22. It is so great for everyone to post these feelings and fears. Those of us who are in the research stage or are just beginning this journey, are very appreciative of the insights you provide. Thanks!!!
