  1. 1 month post op. It's been a roller coaster, I got a intestinal infection my 6th day and I had to go back to the hospital because by mistake I was not drinking a antibiotic I was supposed to. Diarrea for 5 days with out eating nor drinking anything only with serium in the hospital (didn't know where the diarrea came from). Any way, today I cried the whole day to my mom because I am regreting this surgery, I'm 20 years old I don't live in the same country my parents do because I am in college (right now im in Summer so I have until August with them) I feel I'm never going to be a normal person again, I always eat nervous thinking something wrong is going to happen while eating, I never have energy. all i want to do is sleep to scape from reality, people tell me im skinnier but that doesn't even gets me happy. I've lost 30 lbs already but I am not happy because I feel that after 10 months I can regain those lbs like it has happen to many people. I feel that I am not loosing any weight since I started pureed diet because I can see it on my face but my mom wont let me use the scale. I feel im just 20 and I already messed up a part of my system and I will never be able to enjoy overeating with my friends in college or drinking with them. I've became more anxious than before (they increase the dosis for my clonazepam) because I can't sleep thinking that something wrong will happen to me. I need someone to please motivate me and tell me that everything will be okay. My psycologists are not really helping, they tell me what they know I want to hear. I know them already and they always do that. I get constantly hungry and I crave food a lot, cant stop thinking on sushi! At this point I dont know what to think or do, I've always been a motivated young girl who would always exercise and diet but I got to a point that I would loose weight and then gain again so I decided to do this gastric sleeve even though many of my friends and family told me I could do it naturally but I've been all my life trying and I do get results but after i drop them!
  2. This is the changes ive gotten 1 month post op 30lbs less LETS KEEP ON GOING SLEVERS!! :)
  3. Hey everyone I have 4 days of eating normal soft food already. But im having a hard time knowing when i should stop eating. I stop until I feel its time to puke and I know thats not a good sign. Is there any sign or any tips that tells us when we should stop eating? Eating slow is a big issue for me as well bc i was a fast easter but im trying my best.

    Protein

So i am 6 month post op and I never took or have taken Protein shakes? I am doing very bad? My nutrionist back home just never told me anything about it but i see that every one here takes. So i decided to buy the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Medical Quality Protein™ ! I just dont know how much to take or when to take it? And with what quantity of Water? Im 21 years old and ive lost only about 60 lbs ive been stall for like 2 months already. Im getting very depressed and feel this is not going anywhere. Specially because being a college student is so hard to keep up with a diet. Can someone help me to tell me how much scoops of that powder i shall be taking and how many times a day? And also if its a good Protein Powder??

Is this a good protein powder?

Yes i know i am not eating how im supposed to. Thats why im asking for help milk i heard is good. Cereal not so good. What do you tipically eat for breakfast? How about oatmeal? I try to stick with sea food only, is healthier and is less fat than chicken and meat. Went Pescaterian the first months.

Is this a good protein powder?

Well basically at first i would eat anything but "nothing" with 4/5 bites i was done. I eat tilapia on lunch and dinner. Only the tilapia. When hungry two turkey slices with cheese. If i am craving chocolate im not gonna lie, i take a small dark chocolate and eat it. If i go out ill eat a delicious plate but ofcourse i eat a 30% of the plate. Always trying to prioritize proteins but i do eat carbs once in a while. Some times i'll have a turkey and cheese sandwich b But im starting to get scare that i might not be loosing as much as i should so im being more strict. I eat milk and cereal as breakfast or turkey ham. Or a granola bar. Or k bar. I snack fruits for lunch my tilapia and veggies and for dinner hummus or anything that i find in my fridge. Hummus cottage chesse string cheese sometimes tilapia again. (Im a college student so its hard to keep track)

Is this a good protein powder?

Thank you so much for giving me all this information! You guys are super nice to have taken your time by researching on it! I actually didnt choose this one. My sister had it and she is not taking it anymore so i just wanted to know if it would work for me but i guess not! I would have to go to GNC and ask for a good Protein powder. I have 5 month with out drinking Proteins (SUPER BAD I KNOW) but i didnt think it was that important , since my doctor back home was never really on top of me and the proteins but now in this app i see that every body is talking about proteins proteins proteins. I would like to know how many times do you guys take proteins and what quantity? Having in mind i exercise high intensive interval training 3 times a week. Thank you for your time!
  21. Oh my god, im impressed how there is actually people here who took the time to read and write to me back. Im very thankful for your feedback and suggestions. I love this app! I have a question? Is it normal that now that I am doing high intensive interval training I'm constantly hungry? Before I was never hungry, I ate because I had to.. But now I eat and maybe half an hour later I am hungry again or one hour or two hours later. Which that was not my case past months. I dont know if my stomach is streched or what? I was thinking on juicing but my trainer said said I need food for the exercise that I'm doing. But again, he's a trainer, not a nutritionist. Have anyone gotten this problem? Getting hungrier once you start doing more intense exercise? And what are some healthy practical Snacks?
  22. Is it normal that by the 5th month you start tolerating more food? This past week I've been eating more and getting hungrier. Is it normal or has my pouch gotten stretched?

    My Life-Changing Story

Wow Eli! I finally found some one who's my age and did the sleeve while being in college! I would really love to contact with you because I really have a lot of questions to make you since we are basically in the same page going through the same things! I am in my 5th month post-up. I was 215 the day of my surgery and now I am 158/160. I feel i could be less though, but alcohol on weekend has been a huge challenge for me! Also being in college is very hard to follow a specific meal plan but i always try to eat as healthier as possible. I started drinking alcohol my third month post-op since I read i could start drinking after the 3rd month but i know i shouldnt do it and every one here keeps telling me not to do it but its very hard (you understand me because you are in college as well) i have a verg active social life, always had always did and always will.. I know alcohol is not needed to be social and have fun.. But lets not bullshit here but a party with out having alcohol is just not the same fun! Anyway .. I am scared about every thing that awaits because i dont know if i'll keep loosing weight or im staying stuck in this weight like the past month. Hope we can really get in contact! Here are pictures of me before and now so you have an idea of my change!

    Before and After Pics

I feel you! I feel the same way! Just be patient and ask a trainer to give you a routine.
  25. Hello bariatric family, Let me start by saying that I am 21 years old and im a college student currently in San Antonio, Texas. I am from Nicaragua (im an international student) just came to the US for college, im blessed to have parents that could afford paying a superior education. I had my surgery on May 30 2014 back in Nicaragua. It was a big deal because over there people are very close-minded and no one was pro my decision.. Little i cared. I am about 5 month post op and have only lost 53 lbs. Ive read that people are losing 70 lbs in 5 month and cool things like that. To be honest I dont follow a specific diet. I am a college student with budget so I can't be paying a nutrionist here to be controlling me, plus my doctor back home said to prioritize Proteins and just eat what makes me happy but in small portions, obviously always choosing healthy first.. And so ive been doing. Ive been stalled for the past month. I feel I am talking this too chill, I started drinking my third month, it just seems impossible not to drink when you are in your early 20's and in college. I used to be a party animal as back home we are known for Nicaraguans to be party animals.. I have lowered my party level though. I started by just drinking one day each weekend and only whiskey and Water or vodka water, since i read they are the ones with less calories. And i feel i have the same alcohol resistance as i did before. But the past two weekends i drank thursday friday and saturday and i drank basically everything they offered me, speacially last weekend that i was turning 21 and went to Austin City Limits festival. (Im regreting this so badly but I did this surgery to be happier therefor i must enjoy moments) I started boot camp last week with High- Intensity Interval Training and I can't stop thinking on food! Im hungry all the time and this past week I gained 3 lbs. I am flipping out! The trainer told me and my friends its totally normal to feel hungrier because our metabolism is going faster. I am scared i am doing a normal person with normal stomach exercise, i mean my friends eat normal quantities but i dont and still doing such intense things.. But i love it and i feel i am able to do that and more. I just dont know if im going the right track I need some one to kind of call my attention and tell me if they know some one or some thing about what im going through. I need y'alls help! My friends and family dont know much about this surgery, and my doctor back home just dont seem as strict and good as all of yours here in the USA. I feel like every one in this app talks about Protein protein protein and measuring portions etc.. I have NEVER measured a meal and i dont drink Protein shakes. What do you guys recommend me to do? I am feeling like im loosing it! And that my surgery is failing! I have to guidance whatsoever and i havent tell many friends i did this surgery because i find it something personal.
