  2. Hey guys. Today makes a month since surgery. My dr has allowed walking so far and I go back to see him tomorrow. I plan to see what other activities I'm cleared for but I was just curious about what kinds of exercise some of you were doing at this point. Thanks!
  3. Yeah could someone tell me how they take their vitamins? My dr told me nothing about how to take them. They also told me to take 2 multivitamins daily which I have found hard
  4. Hey guys, tues I will be 3 weeks post op. I've noticed the last few days that my vitamins are making me so hungry. I take a multivitamin, calcium, B complex, sublingual B 12, and omeprazole (for heartburn). I take all of these after drinking my premier protein shake. I've noticed I've been overeating bc it makes me ravenous. And then I get so sick from the overeating. Has anyone dealt with this or do you have any suggestions? I could email my nutritionist but honestly I don't have much faith in her skills. Please help!

  6. Thank you!! I'm trying to wake up with a renewed outlook today! I really appreciate your advice!
  7. Thank u so much for that! It helps to hear from someone who has gone thru it!
  8. Hey everybody. I'm only about 4 days out. Had my surg tues July 29. I am struggling. The clear liquid thing is killing me. I only have to do it til aug 6 but it's really hard. I have a ton of isopure drinks but I cannot stomach them. I know I'm not getting anywhere near my protein and I'm finding water hard to get down. I'm really upset that I can't eat. I know this is what I asked for and in the back of my mind I know it will get better. I guess what I'm really wanting is for some support and someone to tell me they have been where I am. I actually cried yesterday, I don't really have anyone to talk to so any advice or encouragement is greatly appreciated!

  11. It's the exact same way for me. I have told limited family and friends. I know when my other friends, family and co-workers find out they are gonna have a fit. I can't help but feel that their motives are not genuine. I really think that some are jealous. I know many people see this as an "easy fix" and to be honest I used to feel the same way. I realize now how hard this is going to be.
  12. Hey guys, I just got word that I am approved for surgery. I am having mixed emotions. I am very glad on one hand. I know this is the change I need in my life. I am 28 years old and have been overweight most of my life. Food is such a huge comfort for me and the thought of losing that is terrifying. I have been sad and depressed ever since hearing that I am approved. Sounds stupid right? Like I said, I know this will be life changing for me, for the better I am sure. I also do not have much support from my family. They are concerned and only are thinking of horror stories they have heard. Has anyone else dealt with these emotions? I am looking to have surgery the last week of July.
