  1. Sign me up Rena here! I was sleeved 7/31, love my sleeve. This is the best decision I ever made for myself!! This website is new to me and I am still trying to figure it out!!
  2. I feel amazing! I guess it's from losing weight, not eating all the junk, and of course vitamins! I even look forward to my walks everyday because each day I wake up I feel different because I am shrinking! I do struggle with head hunger but watching that scale go down definitely over rides that!! I was one of the lucky ones and had no complications and very little pain, mainly gas and feeling like I did 100000 sit ups. It is a major adjustment but it depends on you and how bad you are sick of feeling sick! I reached the bottom and decided I am done! LOVIN MY SLEEVE
  3. Hi Mia83, I have UHC choice plus also. I had my surgery July 31st.....so happy! My only insurance requirement was to have a BMI of 40 or higher, unless you have other health conditions due to your weight' then they may accept a lower BMI. My surgeon only required blood work, EGD, and ultrasound of my heart. My process was so quick, about 6 weeks! Of course each surgeon is different and may require more. Good luck to you!
  4. I have been wondering why I get so angry and moody since surgery! Thanks for posting about this.......makes since!!

  9. I have reached the stall everyone talks about. It's so frustrating. I hope it passes soon. Any secrets anyone has to hurry it up would be greatly appreciated!!
  10. I love my sleeve! I have lost 19 pounds since my surgery July 31st. It is still hard to get all my liquids in. I have started my soft puréed foods and I eat 2-3 teaspoons and I am full, so weird! Trying to find a balance but it's hard to eat then drink all day. I have yet to exercise but plan to go for a walk in the AM. I have energy that I have not had in many years. My body no longer aches when I get up or down, it's fantastic!

  13. Hi there! I am only 2 weeks post op but I have always disliked plain water as well. I do the Vitamin Zero water......lots of favors to choose and most of them do not have sugars. Give it a try you might like it. Be careful of the off brands they have added sugars for some reason.
  14. Good luck to everyone!! I don't think I will sleep tonight, way to anxious!
  15. Tomorrow is my day also!! I have to check in at 5:30 am surgery is at 7:30......emotions are crazy right now! I was not required to do a pre op diet but I did eat smaller meals and did a few shakes for meal replacement. Keep in touch! Good luck!

  19. Have any of you ever heard of no pre-op diet before surgery? My doctor did not recommend anything. I do plan to start my own from all that I have read here and from a family members advice. Thanks for any input!!
