  1. I had lap and with a daVinci 7 years ago and am scheduled for a lap band removal revision to RNY gastric bypass on the 17th. It was a great process. It really enables the surgeon to see around things that would be impossible to the eye alone. Healing is faster also. I hope this helps!! Where are you having it done?
  2. Thanks for the heads up and good ore-surgery advice!
  3. I love it and have it synced with My Fitness Pal where I enter my daily diet and water. I love the fact that it even counts steps when I water walk. Do take it off when you're in a rocking chair or suddenly you'll have thousands of miles!
  4. Congratulations AND happy birthday!!!
  5. I really like EAS but only 17 G protein.
  6. I have Dr Tishler Hartford Hospital . VERY best of luck! Keep me ousted in your progress!!!
  7. I will post Monday after I see the MD! Fingers crossed, lungs open!
  8. Saw MD Fri-/ was not in good shape . Asthma flared up so on big prednisone dose. Will see her in Mon for final verdict ???? or ???? for surgery ! I'm really ok either way. Yeah...
  9. Great that you're getting thru the sugar & caffeine withdrawal! You put on your big girl pants and got down to it! ???? You are on your way. Finding a shake u like is key. I had lap band 7 yrs ago and still love Unjury shakes... Mixed with skim milk! My preop diet has all shakes mixed with water. ???? So I decided to try various ready made shakes. I like EAS. Find something that works for you! You can do it !!????
  10. I am 64.5 and am scheduled for a revision (laoband removal, then bypass) on the 16. Very excited. I had 6 yrs if aspiration pneumonia b4 they figured out it was the lapband! Surgery was postponed once due the surgeon breaking his foot and may get postponed again due to an asthma flare up after having bronchitis! One of my dear friends had bypass at 65 and 5 yrs later she's a new gal!! As long as your doctors give u the go ahead! Go for it. As my surgeon says, obesity is a life threatening illness, like cancer. You'd have surgery to get rid of the cancer. If you've exhausted all other possibilities, surgery may save your life!
  11. Original surgery was scheduled for 8/20. Surgeon broke his foot & I was rescheduled 2 days before. New date 9/17. I am now recovering from bronchitis. I have to be cleared for this date by the PCP on Fri. I've started the preop today just in case I am cleared! Hmmmm Not happy.
  12. Thanks for this suggestion! Putting is bad enough but PU putts are embarrassing!
  13. Are you pre or post surgery Boppin'? I was to have revision surgery the 20th. Doc broke his foot so it's postponed until the 17 of Sept. I was 2 days away! But I am fine, really becoming more relaxed about it-- with help from you--and getting other things done while I wait AND avoiding sugar & fat to make the next preop diet easier!!!
  14. WOW!!! I needed to hear this! Thank you!
  15. I am lapband to bypass Sept 17! Happy St PAddy's day!!
  16. Great help! I love "the poots"! We call it " the toots"! I will get big undies right away!!

  19. Unscented lotion, iPad for games, chargers for phones & iPad, slip on shoes for walking, CPAP, eye mask & ear plugs.
  20. I am the 17th!! Can't wait!!
  21. I am trying hard not to be upset but it am a little. Not the surgeon's fault . I just need to be in good shape before I leave for 5 mos in FL-- retired snowbird--without my surgeon handy !
  22. My surgeon broke his foot and does not have the stamina to do a long revision surgery so I am rescheduled for Sept 17. I really love my surgeon & want him to be at his best! So.. Looking for Sept. Bypass buddies, esp revision!
