  1. I know! I hate it when I'm working out at the gym and i'm having to hold it in. It hurts! I guess its just part of what we have to live with You guys make me laugh! I can hardly wait to get to the gym. Thank goodness Planet Fitness is a judgment free zone!! ☁️
  2. . Eating is so much easier, I can eat pretty much anything although fried food and carbs make me feel a little yucky like heavy so I stay away from them.. I honestly don't have hunger.. Once in a while I'll forget to eat and start feeling shaky and think oh crap I haven't eaten today.. So weird to not have that hunger feeling. I am doing awesome down 41 and I have 20 left to go. I was low bmi because of having had the lapband. I am thrilled with my rny You are my hero! ☀️
  3. Is it better today? Try heating pad on your back and shoulder if it's pain from the gas. Keep walking. Follow your docs instructions and if it's bad call the ofc!
  4. I am originally from TX now living in NE. I am 64 also & will have surgery on the 20th! So glad to hear how well you are doing!!!

  9. Maybe. I was self pay for lapband but still had to do NUT & Psych. Perhaps the sic feels everything is a-ok!
  10. Thank you for this! The band has not been my friend either with multiple aspiration pneumonias from reflux. I was initially skeptical about the bypass but when they told me I would never have reflux again I signed up! How's eating going? Hunger?

  15. I didn't have to go through the long waiting period or losing weight, etc. Ins Co approved in 2 weeks.
  16. I had to go thru all testing except psychological. Was good to go there again.
  17. Oh yeah !! Prior to the preop I ate too much and as an only occ drinker had margaritas every night. BUT the minute I started preop that foolish behavior was DONE!!
  18. . So glad you are doing well, Road Runner!! My surgery us a week from today -- lap band removal & gastric bypass! Hope they can do it all at once. Started pre-op diet this am! Crunching on raw carrots ( allowed) for the chew factor! Getting cortisone injection into knee tomorrow so I can be a road runner, too!

  20. Aug 20 lap band to RNY bypass revision due to severe GERD causing aspiration pneumonias & staph in the lungs. Surgery 8/20, preop starts 8/13! Age 64 from CT

  22. There are a couple of guys. My guess is that a lot of guys don't use a peer support site like women do! Glad I'm female !! ????
