I'm scheduled for the 10th have to be at St Mary's hospital in Reno NV at 6 a.m. start my liquid diet August 27 my pre-op is that day too. Going to start doing liquid for two meal just to get ahead start. Going to farmers market for veggies. Would like a buddy on my journey if anyone wants too. I'll be a new me for my birthday day September 15.

I finally checked with insurance and I was accepted. Yeah! Then I called western bariatric and they said I was accepted yesterday and they didn't even call me. Then they said someone would call me in a week really. So now more stress.

Congratulations to all thst have been sleeved and the ones to be sleeved. I'm still waiting for approval hopefully the beginning of next week. Doesn't look like it will be August. Hopefully the beginning of September so I can be back to work for our end of month and quarter end. It's going on a month waiting. Good luck to all. Thanks so much for your posts to learn what I'll be going through. So hoping for approval been up and down about this. Not much help from my advocate since I was the calling insurance and my doctors office so they got everything. One good news have my upper GI Tuesday morning. So I hope that is a good sign. That's great! I finished in July too but mine is still pending and it's going on 2 weeks.

I have Aetna and did the 6 month weight loss 14 pounds and now they want my weight for 2012 when I didn't have insurance. Mine is still pending even after calling my Dr to fax my weight to insurance for 2012. BMI is now 39. Praying I get approval.

I did the 6 month diet lost 14 pounds and after shots for my back able to exercise. My paperwork was faxed a week and half and it's still pending. Now they want a record of my weight for 2012 ugh. Was working but as a temp didn't have insurance. Called my Dr. to have them fax my weight for the only time I went in only to call insurance on Friday still want to have them call now. No help from my advocate at western bariatric. So unhappy.

This would be great.I'm new to this and right now waiting for approval from my insurance. This would be great since I'm just beginning my new journey. I'm going to the support group for western bariatric and would like another one too.

Heard from dr's office today insurance wanted my weight for 2012 so he's calling my doctor for that information. At that time didn't have insurance I was working but was temp. Everything else is good so hopefully will hear a date next week.

Today I was told they are sending my paperwork to insurance in a couple of business days. Well to upper GI at my pre-op appointment. When they get approval I start my liquid diet. This is really going to happen. Excited nervous but this is a good thing I doing for myself.

I'm just waiting for my upper GI too. Still hoping for August surgery.

Thanks dreamgirl45 still haven't had a phone call for the upper gi. So my doctors is just getting me a morning appointment first available opening. I've read all the post getting there appointments. Just disappointed I'm still waiting for this to be sent to insurance. Worked out at the gym this weekend and swimming yesterday.

Hi everyone some of us it's a longl journey and some shot. Mine seems long had my last two test or so I thought just to find out I need the upper gi before they can send to insurance. Someone drop the ball so now hopefully I'll have a call from the hospital for that test by wednesday have to take more time off from work for that. Ugh been working on this since February. Had the 6 month diet. So hoping still for operation in August.

I've have my last 2 test then paperwork is sent to insurance. Hopefully hear back fast. Well find a tentative date today want the surgery in August since in September I turn 60. Nervous and excited I've not had too many surgeries this is the second one. On my first step of diet with shakes in morning and lunch and dinner 300 or less snacks in between.
