  1. Hi everyone. My surgery date is August 4th. Just started my pre-op diet today!
  2. Does anyone know of or can recommend one. Thanks!
  3. I too suffer from depression, I have for most of my adult life. I finally sought out medical help when I reached my rock bottom. Then it took several years to find the right meds and doses that benefit me most. My suggestion to you is to seek professional help. There is no reason to suffer. Find a psychiatrist (they can write prescriptions) and tell them your feelings. Please get help. We all here for you and can help support you during your weight loss surgery and beyond. I plan on continuing to take my medication before, during and after my WLS. I wouldn't be caught without it. It's been a life saver for me and I mean that literally. There is help out there. Don't give up. You can have a better life.
  4. Congrats to you! way to go.
  5. so sorry to hear that. that happened to me once, I was all dressed up and trucking across a busy intersection downtown, just left an interview and twisted my ankle and went down hard. scraped my knee pretty bad. one person got out of his car to make sure I was ok. I was ok, but humiliated. I think I was pretty chunky then too. maybe you can run on the treadmill or ride the bike while your hand heals. good luck.
  6. Hi kyrickchick64. I too am ready for a change. my surgery date is 8/4 and I can hardly wait. I've been overweight my entire adult life and feel it's time for me to have a good life. I deserve it. I'm 56 and don't feel like it's too late. it's only too late if you never do it! good luck!!
  7. Such a pretty girl! Congrats on the weight loss!!
  8. Good for you. Better late than never. Plus you're still so young! Congrats on your weight loss.
  9. My name is based on a time in my life that I was going thru a divorce. I was the one who had done wrong and took the name gbb77901 to stand for Girl Been Bad and my zip code at the time. My hooker/drag name would be Smoky Pollard. Rock on
  10. Good luck with your journey. My surgery date is August 4th and it still seems like forever away!

  17. I cant totally relate. My surgery date is August 4th. I start my low carb diet on July 21st. But they told me to go ahead and be practicing chew, chew, chew. That's hard for me. I practically inhale my food sometimes. I have to make a conscience effort to chew slowly and thoroughly. I'm excited about surgery though, seems like an eternity till August!
  18. That's fantastic news! So happy for you.
  19. Hi Kayleena Congrats on being post op and doing well from the sound of it. Thanks for the broth tip. I'm sure it will come in handy for me soon!
