  2. So, how many carbs should you be getting a day? I seen it all over the place. I was told not more than 30 per meal, but that is almost 100 per day!! That sounds like a lot!! 90 g of Protein per day, and 64 oz of Water every day. I was sleeved on 6/30 and have lost 34 lbs, but wonder if I would lose more if I ate less carbs.

  4. What are you eating every day and are you exercising? Tell me your secret!! I was sleeved on 6/30 and down 29 lbs.
  5. I too was a Diet Coke addict before surgery. I would drink probably 5 or more a day. While on pre-op, I tried to reduce the amount, but I still had at lease 1-2 a day. Post-op, I went cold turkey. I was sleeved on 6/30 and I have not had not one since and I have probably 18 in my extra refrigerator. I didn't experience headaches or anything the days after because I had the surgery and was on pain meds from that. I bought my granddaughter some chicken from Chic-Fil-A and automatically ordered a diet coke. I took one swig from the straw and it was SOOO sweet! I do crave one every now and then, but I don't want to give in to that addiction again!
  6. I had the sleeve done in San Antonio with Dr. Patel. He sent me for an upper GI and found I had a hernia. If you have reflux bad, you prob have one too. Do you have to have a referral from your PCP? Wear a weight belt under a big shirt ... That will increase your BMI. I had a friend do that! BTW Victory Med Cntr was the best!
  7. How is your hair? Is it falling out? That us my next fear.
  8. Is the page set to private? I can't find it either but if it isn't private I can't be on it since it will appear on my FB feed and only a handful of people know. My email address is sjohnston222@hotmail.com

  10. I am scheduled for the gastric sleeve on June 30th. Dr. Patel at Texas Bariatrics in San Antonio is my doctor. Has anyone used him and have any comments regarding him?
  11. I'm getting sleeved on June 30th. I go to my pre-op class tomorrow. I'm both scared and excited!! I am 50 years old and having it done in San Antonio, Texas. Anyone else from San Antonio?
