  3. @ai1992 Here are my stats: Gender: Female Location: CALIFORNIA Surgery: Gastric Sleeve Surgeon: Allen Cortez Surgery Date: Aug 2014 Height: 5 feet 8 inches Starting Weight: 400 lbs Weight Lost: 85 lbs Current Weight: 315 lbs Goal Weight: 150 lbs BMI: 47.9 I had my surgery done on Aug 20, 2014 so its only been 2 months 5 days. Before surgery I lost 40lbs and since surgery I have lost 45lbs. So thats about 5 lbs a week. No excess skin issues yet. I lead a different lifestyle and am at home most days so my recovery is different then most peoples. For the first month I really didn't feel well and regretted it all the time. The second month was a little easier but every time I eat I get stomach pain and dont feel well. I go back to my surgeon this week so I will see what he has to say. This has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. My jury is still out on if I think it was a good idea or not but if I can lose the weight and keep it off then I will know it was. Eating is very different these days and I really miss just being able to sit down to a meal and eat Protein, vegetables and fruit all at once. Some days I feel okay and others I feel really tired and weak. It just depends on the day. I have had people ask me (like the lady at the place where I get my protein shakes) if I had surgery and I have so far answered honestly. My family asks me all the time how my eating is going and it gets to be annoying sometimes because I get tired of dealing with it; let alone talking about it. I wish not a lot of people had known but I told someone and then it got all around to everyone who knows me so I just try to not bring a lot of attention to it. I have to say that everyone has been really encouraging though and nice about it. If you have any other questions just ask.
  4. @@ai1992 have no clue how to add people, sorry.

  7. Hey - im 26 and had my surgery done on Aug 20th. You can see my stats for weight. I also have PCOS. It is because of PCOS that I chose to have this done. I have hopes this will help manage my PCOS symptoms by loosing enough weight. Ask any questions you want.
  8. I am 2 months out and still having a lot of fatigue and weakness. I get in 500 calories a day and most days all of my Protein and still feel like crap. I also have a lot of heartburn, stomach pain and nausea. I go back to my surgeon in a couple weeks to see what he has to say and if he can recommend anything.

  11. No unfortunately I live 4 hours away from my surgeon and the soonest he can get me in is Friday. I have been debating all day if I should just leave home tomorrow and go to the emergency room where I had my surgery four hours away because of how bad I feel. Im just scared of making it through the traveling. If I could feel better physically I know I would do better mentally but right now im just trying to do the bare minimum to keep going.
  12. Ive been in therapy weekly for almost 20 years. I am working on this and not just hoping. Ive always been aware of it. Im only just 3 weeks out of surgery and having complications I just was hoping I wouldnt have to deal with hunger as well.

  15. I am so bad and have not started exercising. I'm almost to my 3 week anniversary and am still having lots of pain and very tired. I get mental tiredness as well. Sorry to hear your meds aren't absorbing like normal. Hopefully it will get better soon.

  20. I'm scared too and worried it wont work from the beginning. I cant say I've dealt with it because i'm only a few weeks out but I already want to over eat. I am having severe anxiety because i'm not able to eat my feelings. All I can hope is that it gets better.

  22. They put mine in after I was asleep and I was so grateful for that. The nurse took it out the next morning because I was able to get up and walk enough at that point. It felt weird but never hurt. I took two walks total with it in and again it never hurt just felt strange. I can understand not wanting one - I was so worried about it.
  23. I'm still struggling over not being able to eat, my heartburn and severe upper back pain. I'm still wishing I hadn't done this surgery. People keep telling me this is just the hard portion because of learning to adjust but it doesn't feel like it. Life just feels so hard. Hopefully this will get better.
  24. Its equally on both sides in the rib cage area. Im trying my best to deal with it but today i'm not doing well with the pain and heartburn. Plus i'm still on a liquid diet and am dying to eat! Its just not a good day.
  25. I was sleeved on the 20th. Ever since then I have had severe upper back pain. Its almost like a band squeezing around me sometimes. Did anyone else experience this? I really cant do much because of the pain.
