  1. I too have sleep apnea and suppose to use a CPAP machine. I can't! I've tried and tried just can't handle it on my face, suffocating , can't breathe... I'm on 2 ltr of O2 at night, during the day as needed. The pulmonary dr is hoping the surgery will help with the sleep apnea. I also have COPD cronic asthma. I don't know what to tell you, but try again, maybe with the surgery you will lose the weight and not have the sleep apnea anymore. Good luck whatever you do.
  2. My coordinator said so, so I called Medicare myself and they also said no prior approval was needed. Just have to go through the steps of the 6 NUT appointments, I had to be under a drs care for that. Then the other visits, pulmonary, cardiac, psyc, exercise clinic I needed a pass from them also. As she put it we need all our ducks in a row if they want the papers after surgery. You don't even send in the paper work unless they ask for it. If no major problems then BMI of 40 I believe, 35 with . Good luck too you
  3. Congrats and best luck Priscillab on your journey.
  4. I still have a ways to go, surgery date is Oct 27! Yes my 5 months has gone by fast for me. Can't believe its fall already. soon Halloween will be here. quote name="sonya601" post="3609726" timestamp="1411483307"]Yes I'm on my pre op diet. 2 weeks of liquids and I've had the hardest time but after my 4th day a feel pretty good. Oh yes time is flying. How far along are you

  6. My surgery date is Oct 27th, I too have been collecting items to use post op. My visit to the cardiologist is the 29 th of this month for the keg and stress test. Last visit to the dr who is doing my weigh ins is the 15th of Oct. cutting it close yes I know but I don't need ins approval with medicare whoo hoo I'm so ready for this journey
  7. Tuna and cucumber slices, that sounds good thanks
  8. Here's hoping your ins approval comes in fast. I'm on medicare and don't need prior approval. They send all the reports in with the bill, they did say they've never been denied and wouldn't say I could go if they new any different. I talked to my ins also and they said no referral is needed. So mine is set for Oct 27. I know time will fly by, it has through my 6 month weight lost appointments. .
  9. Hi, I have had asthma since the age of 16. I'm on 3 pills for it and 2 inhalers plus a rescue inhaler. I've been told before I do anything strenuous to use the rescue inhaler first. This includes housework! I also use it before walking on the treadmill. If they haven't ordered you an inhaler they do have some over the counter ones, try a puff wait 15 min then exercise. Or go back to your dr and tell them you need something before you exercise because your sob when you do it. I'd probably go with the dr first.
  10. How exciting, are you on your pre diet now? I still have a little ways to go, time is flying by.

  14. Biotin is a soft gel pill, can be found at Walmart in with the vitamins.
  15. Congrats to you!
  16. I'm taking Biotin, can get it at Walmart. I take 2 every day since I started this journey back. In May. I'm really hoping it works, plus I take 2 Flinstone with iron vitamins everyday. My hairdresser recommend the biotin and to start on it soon because it takes a few months to get it going in your system. My hair grows faster, still have normal hair loss after shampooing, but I have to color sooner also
  17. Oh I remember the gnats, bad in Dec when I was there

  21. Wow how long was your pre surgery diet? That's awesome to lose that much! I was happy losing just 10 pounds. Haven't done my pre surgery 2 week diet yet. I'm sure I will lose more then.
  22. My psych eval took right at 6 weeks to get finished. I was on them every couple weeks to get it dictated and typed out. Wow just took forever but it's done now and I have it. Will turn everything in on Oct 15th
  23. I've gotten the Unjury tubs of chocolate and chicken and unflavored. Anyone use these that doesn't have a blender or bullet shaker? Does it mix well with a spoon? I hate to get something I will only use for a month or 2.
