  1. I have recently discovered Millies Savory Teas. They are amazing! Only 19 calories each - they are a mix of green tea and soup. It comes in a tea bag and is super handy for fill days, I imagine they would be fine as clear liquids as well. I don't work for the company, but I wanted to spread the word about this product because they really are a great alternative hot liquid. They are also vegan! (My favorites are Indian Spice and Tortilla Soup, but get the sample pack and try them all - they are all good!)

    New Discovery for Liquids

I don't think they are available retail, unless you live in Seattle, then they have them at Pike Place market. You might want to email them and ask - they have excellent customer service!

    New Discovery for Liquids

I think it is better to order from the web site than from Amazon. I got free shipping and they offer more options for different products on the web site. I don't think it is available in stores. I started with the 5 flavor variety pack and now I know what refill packs I want to order. If you go on their web site they also have something called "Millie's Jump Start," which I ordered as well. It's awesome to mix with the broth for breakfast and has replaced my first cup of coffee in the morning (I still have a cup when I get to work). The web site is http://milliessavoryteas.com/

I discovered millies Savory Teas right after surgery. They are 19 calories each. I love the Tortilla Soup and Indian Spice flavors. Check them out!

    In Search Of Interview Attire

I'm out of town until the 19th, but message me after that and I'm sure I'll have some stuff for you!
  6. I am wondering if anyone else has run into an issue that I have. I have been taking my measurements every month (my husband takes them, and I double-check by taking them myself), and have been losing about a half an inch a month for waist and hips. So I'm currently at 42.5 waist 51 hips. I was wearing a size 20, sometimes 1x in tops before surgery. All of my pants are now so big that they fall off. So I tried looking at size charts online to figure out what my current size is, but they all have me at a 22 or higher! Obviously this can't be right because when I would wear 22 pants before they wouldn't stay up, and I'm a good couple of inches smaller now! But it seems that across the board, my measurements do not match those given for the charts I've looked at. I even took a class to sew my own skirt, and that came out way too big when I used the size on the package! What gives? Has anyone else had this problem?
  7. HI! I am looking to swap or sell clothes. I have a variety of stuff in mostly 1x and 2x and I'm looking to size down. What I have: -size 18/20/xl/xxl dresses -size 18/ 20 pants/capris (and one pair of size 22) -xl and xxl tops -size 20/xl/xxl skirts -size 18/20 blazers - most of them only worn once -a few jackets in various styles/colors, mostly size 2x, also a very nice red pea coat from Ashley Stewart -a ton of pullover sweaters and cardigans, all in excellent condition because I have so many I rarely wear the same one more than a couple of times. I kind of have a sweater obsession The majority of my clothes are from Old Navy, Torrid, Lane Bryant, TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls. What I'm looking for: -size L/XL knit dresses and skirts -size 16/18 black pants for work and jeans -size 8.5 wide or 9 wide shoes for work -wedges, kitten heels, stacked heels, or flats -size 16 blazers If you live in NYC and can meet in person that would be fantastic. But I don't mind shipping things, either (except maybe the pea coat). I also have a shop on Vinted if you want to see some pictures. Please pay no mind to the prices, everything is negotiable! http://www.vinted.com/members/1326729-veganjello/clothes thanks! Ceema

    Clothing sizes

I am actually not vegen - vegetarian - but I won't eat Gelatin. So when I kept seeing it as a recommended "food" for liquids I went on a Quest for vegan Jello. It's not very good (but I never really liked regular jello, either).

    Anyone use Tradesy?

I checked out tradsey and it seemed to be "designer only" I use vinted - it's an app. Everything is super cheap - like five or ten bucks, but I do sell quite regularly and you can also swap! You can check out my shop here http://www.vinted.com/members/1326729-veganjello/clothes

    In Search Of Interview Attire

Hi! I have a bunch of interview/business casual stuff I am looking to get rid of. I also live in Manhattan. I have some full suits (size 18/20) and also some blazers.

    Clothes!

There is an app called Vinted that you can try. I have had luck selling a lot of stuff, most items listed are under ten dollars, and you can swap, too!

Great! Do I just keep checking on this board, or is there an email list or some other way to get the information? Thanks!

    NY - NYC/Long Island

HI all, Looks like I am a little late to the party. I live in Manhattan and was banded May 31st. I'd love to get together in person some time!
  14. Hi, I'm looking for some gear for hiking and backpacking this summer. I was just banded last month so I don't want to buy stuff now, only to have to replace it for a smaller size in a few months. I really need: -A rain coat/windbreaker shell. I tried on a North Face Venture in 2x and it fit perfectly. Columbia was a little small in the same size. -Wicking base layer - t-shirt in moisture-wicking fabric - 1x or 2x -Wicking middle layer- long-sleeved shirt or a lightweight pullover (no fleece) - a roomy 1x or 2x -hiking pants, shorts, or skorts, size 18/20 I am willing to pay for the items and shipping. I can also swap some items - I have clothes and will have accessories soon listed in my vinted closet: http://www.vinted.com/members/1326729-veganjello thanks so much!
  15. Thanks everyone for all the ideas! I did a bunch of research online and just bought this rain suit on Amazon http://amzn.com/B007X5XDU4 I also hit Old Navy yesterday - they had 40% off active wear - I got two wicking t-shirts and a very lightweight wicking jacket that will work for a summer mid-layer all for about thirty bucks!. So really all I need now is bottoms! I did just join a hiking club and I'm going to a slideshow tonight, so I'll ask around there. I'm also going to Ohio for 4th of July and I'll hit some thrift shops there. Thanks again, and happy hiking!
  16. I've looked around for other swaps. I found one that is only for under size 12! And another other one is "name brands only" They said if you shop at Target, TJMaxx, or Old Navy you aren't welcome there (those are the three places I shop the most, lol). I live in Manhattan so people can be kinda snotty about clothes. There is a plus size clothing swap that you have to buy tickets for in August, I might go to that. But what I need the most and am unable to find (and why I posted specifically on this board) is hiking gear. Especially a rain jacket/shell and insulation layer. Even on clearance these are forty or fifty bucks - just too much for something I might not even use! I don't think I'll have too much trouble with "regular" clothes - I'm a pretty active member of Freecycle and there are a lot of clothes offered on there in all sizes.
  17. @@swimbikerun - the only one I have found doesn't happen until November
  18. I didn't think of Ebay! Thanks. As far as "regular" clothes, I've had a lot of luck with Freecycle for work clothes and jeans. I find Old Navy has great, cheap yoga pants. I really need stuff for hiking/backpacking specifically. It doesn't have to be high-end, just wicking and waterproof enough to get me through a few trips this summer.
  19. I probably should have mentioned, I live in Manhattan, and we only have very small, expensive thrift stores. I'm from Colorado and when I lived there it was easy to find this stuff at Ross/TJ Maxx or a thrift store. But there just isn't the culture to support it here in the same way, thus, it is very difficult to cheap/find used gear and clothing. I look at Craigslist a lot but haven't had any luck there yet, either. Even the outdoor stores here like EMS and REI don't carry larger sizes - EMS only goes to 16 and REI you have to order anything above a 14 online (which I would do, if I thought I would be using it long-term). Thanks for your reply!
