  1. I also start my diet on Tues. i do not think the yogurt has to be sugar free. My pre-op diet says light with no fruit pieces. Hope that helps.
  2. Went and saw my Nut and Dr. This week all set just have to get pre- op tests. still have a couple of questions I forgot to ask. Start pre-diet next Tues. Dr said to try for seven days but must do at least 3 days. He seems very laid back and yes i am getting very nervous also. I am so worried about after the surgery and the diet.

  8. Seems as we get older it is much harder to lose. I was wondering if this premise is also true for those who had the sleeve. The reading that I have done seems that the older you are the less you lose. While it appears the younger you are the quicker the weight loss and number of pounds. Please let me know if you have info on this topic and whether also having a thyroid problem slows everything down
  9. WOW no posts since May 2013. I am 62 and having my surgery on 6/24/2014 There have to more of us out there in forum land. Our issues may be different than the younger ones. So lets get this site active again!

  12. I am also scheduled for the 24th. Found this site last night and already feel calmer. See Dr. on Mon for final appt before surgery. I saw nutritionist yesterday and was told to start liguid diet 7 days before. I started to purge my kitchen yesterday to get rid of all my bad choices. Knowing I only have a certain amount of time before I begin I have been eating all my favorite foods with no discrimination. Not Good. So glad to have this site so we can all help each other. I tried the Vitamins and a shake yesterday not to bad. Wanted to see what they would taste like. GOOD LUCK AN BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE ON THIS JOURNEY!
  13. I am 62 years old and my gastric sleeve is scheduled for 6/24/14. Searching for a buddies who might be in the same age bracket. I think as i go through this i would love to have a buddy or buddies who are possibly facing similar concerns. However all ages will be accepted????
  14. I am scheduled for the 24th. Reading everything I can. Bought my Vitamins and tried a Protein shake today. Tried them not to bad. I too am anxious, and scared.
