  1. Then he'll swing the other way and be oversolicitous (to your hormonal self) with "where can we go where you can eat too?" and you'll want to cream him because he should know by now that you can find something to eat anywhere! The poor man won't be able to win, trust me
  2. Diet Coke tastes nasty to me now. I can't stomach even a tiny swallow - yay! I can do about 3-4 swallows at a time. Any more than that and it's uncomfortable. Your body will let you know how much you can do at one time and it'll change. Still no drinks during meals, other than an occasional sip. It's been the hardest thing for me to get used to as I was a meal drinker like you!
  3. Pre-op, I was a Lane Bryant size 26/28 since 1987 and weighed 201 then, and 318 in 2014. Granted, just pre-op they were a little tight and I needed that lycra but REALLY?
  4. So nice of you! I don't need them but your post made me smile.
  5. Thank you so much for sharing! I'm only 9 weeks post-op and already thinking about when and what if. Seeing it helps!
  6. I swear by marinated chicken breasts from a nice grocery store. Slap that thing on the Cuisinart Griddler (George Foreman, whatever) and 6 minutes later I have enough for salads and by themselves and so on. I love my crockpot too!
  7. I traveled alone (my choice) and my husband "insisted" on me staying an extra night, just in case. I could've easily gone home on schedule but it was worth it for his peace of mind.
  8. Another one who didn't see clothing sizes start to change until nearly 60lbs lost! Can't wait to be out of plus sizes so the numbers will change faster
  9. Our Goodwill is NASTY. I need to explore other areas, LOL!
  10. 1000 - 1200 is my goal, I've hit 1500 once and usually it's between 900-1000. I have trouble getting more calories than that if I'm not eating higher carb or just too much in general.
  11. I was handed a juice box 2 days post-op and though I don't usually use a straw, I have no problem doing so. I tend to drink really fast with a straw and suck down too much air, just like I did pre-op
  12. I'm 8 weeks post-op, everything went really well, and I still have issues with plain water. Something about the surface tension and needing an additive of some kind - so Crystal Light, True Lemon/Lime, and trying broth might help her now. I didn't have issues with temps much but in the early days, warm was most most welcome!
  13. I started eating regular foods about 4.5 weeks out. I'm just shy of 8 weeks post-op now and eat everything on your list and have been. I still don't eat many bread-y carbs like tortillas and such but can tolerate them now. They do sit heavy in my stomach though if I have more than a bite or two.
  14. That doesn't sound like enough calories to me, especially if you're doing any exercise at all. How's your water intake? What about veggies?
  15. We're doing lots of lean meat, fish and SALAD! Don't forget your veggies and only look at protein.
  16. Yay, I'd love to play! Thanks for organizing
  17. Milagro the Mexican Wonder Tummy! milagro = miracle in Spanish
  18. Try upping your calories (good food) for a few days and see what happens. If my caloric intake drops, my weight loss stalls.
  19. July 1st. Updated my weight loss too. It's crazy to be excited about scale days!
  20. Baby lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots = no problem at all. Sprinkled with feta and a good quality balsamic vinegar is HEAVEN! I was craving salad something fierce. I'm eating between 800-1000 on a regular day, getting all water and protein + healthy veggies, bike & treadmill 5+ days/week, and am down 50 lbs since pre-op.
  21. My favorite things! We have several for the family and use them every day.
  22. Another vote for refried beans! Added Greek yogurt and taco sauce to mine, plus a scoop of Protein powder and a tiny bit of broth to thin if necessary. I'd even eat it cold
  23. Not from Canada but I went to Mexico as well, about to be a month post-op.
  24. Just the Zip for me and I'm happy
  25. Love the look of these and they're one of my rewards for losing weight! 24lbs to go
