  1. Hello all Feeling very anxious this evening. Went through all the hoops only to discover my chosen hospital and surgeon would not be covered by insurance. Be careful when you talk to insurance reps! Center or excellence and center of distinction are not the same thing. Now I am traveling a good ways tomorrow to meet with new surgeon and nut. Hoping all my hoops will transfer and they can get me submitted to insurance this week. I think new venue will be for the best but I am nervous and probably will be until I get an actual date. Been at this since April. Wish me luck!
  2. You look great! Years younger! Amazing
  3. At my recent pre-op nutrition seminar I got to hear a fellow pre-op discuss her awesome smoothie regimen. When questioned about her weight gain it turned out her smoothies were cherry slurpees and mcdonalds mango. But they were on sale! She exclaimed. Sigh.
  4. Thank you for sharing, I knew it would be a hard journey but I did not expect it to be so for these reasons! I am feeling a bit better, it's just a change of venue, right? . Will try to get it sorted today.
  5. Thanks, I am having to reset my mind. I was sure the next call would be scheduling. I found a place it's farther away still but maybe I can transfer in my records and shorten things up a bit. I also had an earlier setback learning my insurance only covers 60% with no out of pocket cap.
  6. I so I have been at this approval process since April. Regular gp visit. Seminar, bloodwork, EKG,endoscopy, psych exam and at least 5 trips @ 120 miles to clinic with time off work. Today I hear that the hospital is not considered center of excellence so I have to start again with new facility. I am heart broken. Anyone else have to start over and do your clearances carry to new doctors? I am not giving up but I am so down.
  7. I am hoping for September too! Waiting on approval. Good luck to you!
  8. Best of luck to you! I am hoping for September. Waiting on insurance, soooo hard to wait.
  9. I am in the waiting boat too! I started in April with my GP and have been to several nutrition visits, surgeon consult, endoscopy and psychological testing. I think they were able to submit to my insurance last week so the waiting is killing me. Next if approved will be another nutrition visit and then surgery date. Maybe another surgeon visit not sure. I hope for September !
