  4. So thankful to have this post! I am two days out and the psychological stuff has beat me up badly. Of course that is what I dwell on instead of the positive things. Thanks to all who have posted here. It has helped!

  6. I too am Nov 12 and cheated the first few days of the pre-op. I am a creature of habit and breaking my morning routine (eating wise) is/was difficult. I too have had everything from 2nd thoughts to straight out panic as I sit and watch other people eating whatever they want and ask myself "what will I do?" It's easy to say to myself "who cares if I'm heavy" etc but we both know this is a good thing and what we have longed for. It's' now less than a week away! We can do it! Heidi

  8. I too am on pre-op as I'm 9 days away (11/12) and I can't seem to curb the carbs. I think we'll be fine but I understand the struggle!
  9. I am 11/12 and can't believe it's so close. I'm on my 3 week pre-op diet which is basically Atkins induction phase <20 g's of carbs daily. I am scheduled to be there at 9:30!! Heidi
  10. I am on an Atkns like >20 grams of carbs/daily. No counting calories, fats, proteins..only carbs. Harder than I realized!
  11. Yes, you are right! I mixed it for the colonoscopy. You will need to mix it with something as it tastes really bad but does the trick!
  12.    ren0318 reacted to a post in a topic: Bathroom trouble......."TMI".....
  13. Not sure this will help but when I had a colonoscopy several years ago they give you an OTC product called Colyte - which you can mix with root beer and take small doses once every hour or so. This cleans out the intestine, colon, etc so they can see clearly. Just a thought! Heidi
  14. I am Nov 12 and live in Seattle. Let's do this!
  15. I also gained on my sixth month appt so have to do another month for approval. I gained 7 lbs which I am unsure of how it happened...well that's not entirely true. I drank too much beer, had a birthday and went wild. I empathize with you and hope that my stumble has not blocked my surgery journey!
  16. Kimber262 - how are you feeling otherwise? Everything go well??
  17. Your honesty (as well as all the replies) are so refreshing! I appreciate reading about it and all of the "what ifs!" Thanks for being honest and for all the replies!
  18. It's so great to read everyone's stories! It really helps. I am brand new to BP and am currently in month 4 of my 6 month MSWL with Swedish in Seattle. Protein is my friend..carbs not so much. Of course I crave carbs! My only concern is having my BMI or weight too low for insurance so for the last two months I've added a little fat back into the diet per my NUT. This is what is most concerning to me crazy enough. I can't be too successful! We can do it tho peeps! Heidi
