  1. I haven't tried it yet but my dr said I can try new whey. She said it's like a shot of protein and has 42g of protein. She told me I can get it at Walmart and they come in test tubes. Ive been having trouble getting my protein in bc of taste so tomorrow I'm gonna try the new whey.
  2. I was sleeved a week ago and I was prescribed omeprazole capsules. I hate the east of breaking it open so I was wondering if it would be ok to take the whole thing with water?
  3. Ok thank you! I will definitely try different protein drinks.
  4. Yes I'm drinking water. I figured if I feel like this tomorrow I will call them. I actually just got 1% milk and I've been sipping that. I know it's not much protein but I figured it's better then nothing and it's going down good.
  5. I had my sleeve done on 8/4 so I'm 6 days out. I felt great in the hospital and was discharged the next day. I saw my surgeon on 8/7 for 1st post op visit and I told them I've been having a lot of gas and couldn't drink protein because it made it worse. The next day I finally had a bowel movement and the gas finally went away but now I'm nauseous all day long especially when up and walking. I haven't been getting anything near the protein I should be having but I'm getting liquids down. I get up now for a few mins and I get really weak and have to lay back down. Has this happened to anyone else? Will it get better soon?
  6. I was sleeved on 8/4 and felt great in the hospital. On 8/5 I was discharged and before I left the hospital I got liquids down but since I've been home it's been hard. Today is 4 days later and I finally had a little bowel movement but feel so neasous. Since I've been home each day I've taken 2-3 sips of protein. It's been mostly water and Ice chips which I don't think is enough. Also still having gas pains.
  7. I'm from selden, ny. I was just sleeved yesterday by dr ahmad & argwala. I'm feeling pretty good besides the gas pains! I just started drinking liquids so I'm hoping to be discharged later! I can't wait to see the weight start coming off!
  8. I had the gastric sleeve yesterday afternoon. I'm feeling pretty good besides the gas pains. I'm still in the hospital and I just started the liquid stage of my diet. As long as I keep everything down and pain isn't too bad then I get to go home later! ????
  9. My surgery is today also! I need to be at the hospital at 12:45 so I still 5 hours! Hopefully the morning goes by quick!! I'm a little nervous but more excited!
  10. Aug 4th.. Few more days ????????
  11. So I started my preop diet today. I'm allowed 3 protein shakes a day, two fruits (Apple, oranges or pears), and a salad with protein. I was wondering what other peoples preop diet was like and how much you lost during that time frame? My surgery is august 6th.
  12. I'm from Long Island also! I have the band which was placed in 2009 and I absolutely hate it. I'm having it taking out and having the sleeve done on aug 6th. I can't wait!
