Congratulations! Hope all goes well, you made a great decision )

How is everyone?
I was banded 22nd May, and going good! Just starting soft solids, it's great being able to eat food with the family again. I have never enjoyed scrambled eggs so much. Not weighing myself until my first fill appointment, concentrating on recovery and increasing my activity. Loving my new fitbit! Good luck, everyone!

Got complacent.. and I need to move forward!
Sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers.

Just survived hosting a lunch.
Hey Junebug, I kept myself busy in the kitchen, serving and providing! It was a bit easier for me as my guests all knew about my band, they were all curious, but supportive. If you don't feel comfortable disclosing your banding, just say you had big dental work and aren't allowed to chew yet ;o) Good luck, you can do it!

Sleeping
I'm almost three weeks post-op and was really uncomfortable for the first two weeks, had to sleep propped up in a nest of pillows. I am now sleeping flat on my side with little discomfort.

Just survived hosting a lunch.
Well, just over two weeks out and had our first guests over for lunch. I cooked roast lamb and lots of vegetables, and I enjoyed some mashed potato, pumpkin and puréed lamb. Felt good to sit with friends at the table and not lose control. Yay!!

Hi, can anyone recommend a good iPhone/iPad app for tracking food/nutrient/calorific intake? Thanks!

Almost a week post-op, exciting times.
Hi Alli, There are lots of centres in Sydney, no difficulty finding anyone. I have private health insurance, and most of the costs were covered. Having said that, still waiting for the anaesthetist bill, which is usually massive!

I'm down here in Australia, and really enjoying reading the supportive comments. I'm recovering well when I give myself permission, trying to be Wonder Woman makes it all harder. My shoulder pain has gone now, my port site is the most troublesome pain at the moment. But I'm really struggling to eat/drink enough nutrition. I have no hunger at all, and I just forget to have anything. Also, anyone troubled by loose bowels? I think id rather be constipated!! Anyway, thanks for listening, I'm a bit nervous about the road ahead, so will be checking in for support.
