  4. Farmgirl04 congratulations!!!!! So inspiring!!!!
  5. Hi Karen. Are you logging everything you eat and drink in your food journal? And also be mindful of the time you are eating. I'm newly banded but logging in my food journal has helped tremendously! Don't get weary...keep working at it!! Since May 23 I've only lost 12lbs. It's very frustrating so now I'm logging, and exercising more!! Hang in there...you got this!
  6. I had a lot of pain as well. Banded May 23, I couldn't move my shoulder or sit up straight. The hydrocodeine liquid form was the best. It didn't constipate or anything I lived on it once a day for 3 weeks. Wouldn't have made it successfully without it! It will definitely get better. Burp if you can and pass that gas the best way possible. I did it all!!
  7. Thank you!!! How many Cc's did you get your first fill and how much total from surgery if they put any in?

  11. Hi Betty! I will definitely follow your progress. How much have you lost so far?
  12. Awesome advice!! You all are amazing! Thank you so much!!!

  14. So I'm in my third week post op and I am hungry. I'm finding that not only do I feel tons better, but I now have my appetite back. I asked if I could get banded now and they told me no. To allow my stomach and incisions time to heal first. I'm eating a little more now. I'm extremely frustrated at this point. Any advice :-(
  15. I Feel very hungry and there's no restriction. I'm not liking this part at all. Is it unheard of to get a fill this soon?

  17. Wow! Very inspirational!! Not that you wasn't cute before :-), but you look amazingly fit and healthy!! You go girl!!
  18. GOD's blessings!! You will do great!!! After anesthesia, take it easy. Walk when you can, it will help with the gas and shoulder pain. I failed to do so and I'm paying for it now. Follow the doc's order to the t!! Relax and enjoy what's to come!! Today makes my 6th day banded. And it's getting better and better every day. I took full advantage of my pain med, it dulled the gassy sensation a lot!!! Don't try to do too much and remember this phase is for healing more than anything. I'm sharing things that I struggled with. I hope it helps!!
  19. I paid half on credit care card and the rest in cash. I saved and used some of my tax return. I'm also a single mom and I needed to do this to feel better physically, mentally, and socially. My doctor charged $9,995 in Dallas, Tx.
  20. Thank you tmf!! I've upped my liquid intake according to 2nd full liquid phase instructions. Feeling better just super full.
