I had RNY Dec 15. I have seven incisions.

Bought myself a belly band meant for pregnancy yesterday ($17 @Walmart) its a lifechanger!!! Fully recommended. Feel so much better.

Laying down I'm virtually painfree. Once I move and stand I have pain in my lower stomach if I clench and lift my lower belly I can walk with minimal pain. I'm only taking tylenol now because pain or not I have to drive tomorrow ...should be interesting.....

Few days later...how is everyone's pain going?

I am in the same situation. I've had children and kidney stones. I'm taking hydromorphone. Its not touching this pain! I just want to move on with recovery!

My surgery is in the morning too! Good luck!

Good luck everyone on your Dec dates! Mine is Monday at 8am. Preop liquids has gone well I lost 15 lbs. So excited after all these years I will finally have gastric bypass!!!

MsBailey well said. I'm choosing bypass because I have 200 pounds to lose and I want one and done. My surgery is Monday!!

Congratulations!! I just got my letter of approval dated Dec 2. I was submitted Dec 1!!!

I agree MsBailey. I have close to 200 to lose which is why I'm choosing bypass. On my preop diet now surgery in 9 days!!!! After waiting 13 years 9 days seems surreal

Well I saw the Dr today and I'm having the IVC placed Thursday ...no meds except local numbing. Through the groin so I'm grateful for that. A little nervous but it gets me closer to the OR.

No. I was told the surgeon requires it for people with a BMI over 60. Mine is 60.22 lol. I see the vascular surgeon in office visit tomorrow so I guess I'll know more then.

I'm hoping for the groin.... the neck thing kinda freaks me out

I agree it's for the best. Made mistake looking at videos and of course most are not good experiences. Just another step toward the big day Thanks for replying.

I have to see the vascular surgeon tomorrow about getting an ivc filter placed.. my surgery is Dec 15 so I'm not sure when they will do it. I'm really nervous about it

I can't believe surgery is in two weeks after years of waiting wishing ...preop starts in the morning ...time to kick this sugar habit! Anyone else have Mid December surgery?

Well my preop diet starts Monday! I'm so glad your surgery went well! Hopefully the approval goes smoothly. My office said the same thing about Horizon.
