No losses :(
I had my surgery June 7 and I've lost 35 lbs total. But that's from may 22 til now. I am still hungry and just like the above post stated, right now it's just a diet. It is a real struggle right now, but I log my calories and exercise. But it is absolutely a conscious effort to eat healthy and not go out and blow it!!! Hang in there, they say the first 6 weeks is healing!!!

Mashed potatoes?
Yes, the carbs is not what I need. Like I said, I get to start introducing solids on Friday so I'm over it already. And I can them concentrate on protein and a larger variety of good! Thanks for all the replies! It's all so new!

Mashed potatoes?
Yea, I never had a meeting with a nutritionist. Thursday will be my first time. But the dr's office did give me a guideline and it just said anything I can up a straw. My plata toes have been pretty creamy, consistency of a thick milkshake, so that's what I've been going by. They say on day 15 I can start introducing solids. Like meatloaf, turkey chili, deli slices etc!!! It's just all so new to me and somedays I feel overwhelmed.

Mashed potatoes?
I will be two weeks post op Thursday. I've had mashed potatoes, I'm controlled portions, and I was just making sure I wasn't hurting anything! I never got a "list" of foods for each phase but I meet with my nutritionist this Thursday at my first post op visit!

Feeling Great
Ok so I'm sooo glad I'm not the only one. I was banded last Thursday and my left thigh and the bottom of my calves were and still are ridiculously sore! I thought it was from the surgery itself, but I'm curious to see If anyone else responds to this.

Please elaborate. You have a specific amount of weight you have to lose prior to surgery? I'm just curious. I am a self pay so this all literally happened within a month and half!!! And my doctor told me to do whatever works for me to stay at 1000 calories a day. And so far it's been a protein bar for breakfast, Lean cuisine, or smart ones for lunch and dinner. Sugar free Popsicles for snack. Baby carrots and radishes. Maybe a hard boiled egg! I've just been playing around. I've managed to keep it right though! Where are you from? Please share your journey so far with me!
