  3. I had my surgery June 7 and I've lost 35 lbs total. But that's from may 22 til now. I am still hungry and just like the above post stated, right now it's just a diet. It is a real struggle right now, but I log my calories and exercise. But it is absolutely a conscious effort to eat healthy and not go out and blow it!!! Hang in there, they say the first 6 weeks is healing!!!

  5. Yes, the carbs is not what I need. Like I said, I get to start introducing solids on Friday so I'm over it already. And I can them concentrate on protein and a larger variety of good! Thanks for all the replies! It's all so new!

  8. Yea, I never had a meeting with a nutritionist. Thursday will be my first time. But the dr's office did give me a guideline and it just said anything I can up a straw. My plata toes have been pretty creamy, consistency of a thick milkshake, so that's what I've been going by. They say on day 15 I can start introducing solids. Like meatloaf, turkey chili, deli slices etc!!! It's just all so new to me and somedays I feel overwhelmed.
  9. I will be two weeks post op Thursday. I've had mashed potatoes, I'm controlled portions, and I was just making sure I wasn't hurting anything! I never got a "list" of foods for each phase but I meet with my nutritionist this Thursday at my first post op visit!
  10. How many days post op did everyone start eating mashed potatoes?
  11. Gotcha! That's gonna be my problem too!
  12. Wow! Sorry to hear you've had so much going on! Hang in there! Things are going to get better! Keep us posted!
  13. Yes, please do!! Also when did you start mushy foods?
  14. Ok so I'm sooo glad I'm not the only one. I was banded last Thursday and my left thigh and the bottom of my calves were and still are ridiculously sore! I thought it was from the surgery itself, but I'm curious to see If anyone else responds to this.

  19. Thank you! I'm better this morning! It didn't help that my mother was cooking up a gourmet meal of meatloaf and all the trimmings!
  20. I am HUNGRY! What's wrong with me? Is it psychological?
