  1. What a great idea. I get so caught up in the planning, prepping, classes I forget to dig deep and think about what I will be able to accomplish with the weight gone, beyond the obvious of course . Number one for me tho is being able to play longer, harder, goofier with my grand daughter whom I adore.

  4. My Dr said he wanted me on a one day only liq diet pre op. I was expecting a lot more but happy that's it.
  5. Do you know how long your hospital stay will be? I'm supposed to go home the next day.

  7. My pre op blood work is done....everything looks good....got my liq Zantac and pain med, Vitamins, and protein all stocked up..... Ready to go on Dec. 3. 10 days away!
  8. My ins does a blood test to see if there's nicotine in your system.... If there is the surgery is cancelled!

  14. My nut recommended Unjury whey protein. It's hospital grade and formulated for bariatric pts. I also use their multi vitamins. You can check it out at Unjury.com. The taste of the chicken soup, choc, vanilla flavored powder are good. They have lots of products to choose from. It made me feel easier knowing that many many hospitals use Unjury.
  15. I only have to be on a liquid diet the day before surgery (Dec. 3) my ins co does not do a psych eval.
  16. Hello, I am having the sleeve surg on Dec. 3. On the third day Post op I start my full liquid diet. My paperwork says I can have strained cream soups. I HATE creamed soups. I need ideas on what to eat in replace of those. What kinds of food did you all eat? Thanks in advance for your ideas.
  17. I'm learning too..... It's a lot to take in. I'm trying to not make mistakes along the way like buying the wrong products.

After looking at the list of vitamins my surgeon said is essential I looked at my regular multi and quickly figured out I could stay with it and supplement what wasn't in it or get a bariatric formulated that contained all but the B 12. I don't like taking pills of any kind so this better for me. However it may take awhile to chew the big thing lol. I'm going to get my B12 in a shot once a month.
  19. I received my bottle of just take one a day vitamins especially formulated for bariatric patients.... I was so happy until I saw how BIG the vitamin is...... About the size of my husbands economy car! ????
  20. I wouldn't wait...... Focus on family, having fun, start a new tradition? On TG. Don't make food or what you think you're missing out on the focus.
