  1. Hi Mandy! Dr Joyce did my band on 9-11. From reading the posts, you are seeing Dr. Lahman. When you had your fill did you have to have a barium swallow? Was your port site sore?
  2. I was very impatient too.Your from OP? I dont get on line often (have older kids who are computer hogs) but I will be looking for ya! Hope I can help u out in any way. Dr visits werent too bad, I actually learned alot. I think I can email you my email address, I will give it a try. Take care!
  3. Hi Carol! I'm from Orland Park, not sure where you are at. I was nervous, excited all rolled into one. Then freaked when I was told my surgery date was 9-11. But, got by that because I wasnt going to wait any longer. I truley wish I knew about this site long before I was banded. There are soooo much helpful advise! The six month supervision is bascially getting in all the other appointments, pulmonologist (sp?) cardiologist, psyc, etc. I was a bit of a pesty pants jamming it all together, constantly calling to see if there were any cancellations. (they probably have my chart highlighted ' she's a pain', lol. Was a bit frustrated (tell you privately why later) but all in all I am so glad I had Dr Joyce, and you will absolutely love, love, love Silver Cross Hospital. The 6th floor is where all his patients go, beautiful. I wasnt aware there was a pre-op diet., no one told me... and I did as best I could. I have so much info to give you, not enought space! lol. Talk to you soon!
  4. Hi Buckru! Hope your feeling well today! Port site is sore, and I have tried sleeping with a very soft, squishy pillow under my side. Helps alot, give it a try! No prob reaching the Surgeon. You having trouble with reaching yours? I am having prob's with the middle incision., but babying it. God knows no one wants an infection! Take Care!
