    Nancy E, I am hoping for an early August surgery date also. My last nutrition appointment is July 10th, and at that time my surgeons office can turn in the paperwork to my insurance company. I too go between excitement and concern. So many people feel like that they have to tell me about this friend or that person who is "always sick" after weight loss surgery. But I am "always sick" now because of my weight! I have seen people post about weight loss of 150 lbs in one year. I can only hope my progress is as good as that!

    I have type 2 diabetes and I was directed towards the rny bypass because of it. I have been told that after my surgery they will most likely take me off of my diabetes and high blood pressure meds before I leave the hospital.

    Anybody in the Denver/Boulder area who has had bypass or is going through the process? I am currently going through the process of tests and medical dietary supervision in order to get insurance approval for my surgery. Would love to find pals in this area who are doing the same or have been through the process.
