My story is an up and down one. I was always "heavy" "big boned" as I was always told. As a teenager I played sports and enjoyed life. When I turned 18 my life was turned upside down. My Mom was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia and passed away 4 months later. 6 months after that my father sold the house and moved to Florida. Mind you I was still living there when he sold it. He passed away 1 year later. That is where my weight gain started. I was alone working 3 jobs just to pay rent and car insurance. Friends disappeared and I turned to food. When my husband proposed I swore I was going to be "skinny" for my wedding. I lost a little but not what I had wanted. 10 years later we had a beautiful baby boy. I had actually lost weight during my pregnancy cause I was so careful what I ate. 2 Years later he was diagnosed Autistic and that was where my spiral began. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and the medications that go along with that cause weight gain. Which brings me to the present 80 pounds heavier due to the medication and lets face it I had given up on weight loss when my hubby says "I've been doing some research". Off the medication and having accepted my son's diagnoses I am prepared to take the next step in my crazy life.

So here we go!!! My surgery is June 2nd. My hubby's is June 30th.

One of the biggest thinks I am looking forward to is getting my skates back on and teaching my son Hockey!
