Horrible eating over Christmas
I am one of those who overate during these past few weeks. I attended a wedding, 4 parties and then a huge family Christmas dinner. I didn't beat myself up over it. I just hopped back on the wagon this morning and will continue my healthy eating from today onward. So I say to you, don't fret my friend. Take care and best of luck on your journey ☺

Holiday Challenge!
My scale is broken!!! I got on it this morning and it said 140. Oh but I am doing the happy dance ????????. I was so afraid to get on it because I just knew it had gone up from all of the snacking I did for the Holidays (although I didn't eat any goodies on Xmas, strange). I made my holiday goal! Yay me, Yay me! Now I have to work on keeping the scale going downward. Still need to get to 130 to reach my surgeon's goal. Then maybe even 125. Happy Friday everyone. And I wish you all a Happy New Year!

I feel you Bianca. I have 14 more pounds to lose to reach my goal of 130 but it just seems so darn hard. Don't give up. I'm rooting for you!! I'm hoping it will get a little better after the holidays.

Holiday Challenge!
I'm still 144 today (well 143.5). I can't complain about not losing these last few weeks considering all of the holiday parties I've attended. Thanks to my sleeve and the gym, I haven't gained any weight. Hopefully, I can get to my holiday goal weight by Jan 2. Have a wonderful weekend everyone

African American vsgers!
Hello Ladies, I was sleeved on 4/8/14. I am 5 feet even. My pre-surgery weight was 219 lbs. The day of surgery I weighed 207 lbs. I am 8 months post op and currently weigh 144 lbs. I still have 14-24 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight. Here are a few progress pics. The picture where I was wearing the black and white striped dress is from 12/12/14. This is my current weight. I wish you all the best on your journey!

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
This is my first time posting pictures although I do have before and after photos in my gallery. I really don't know how to post pics. Hopefully the pictures come out right. I was sleeved on 4/8/14. I am currently 8 months post op. I still have about 20 pounds more to lose until I reach my goal weight. The top photo of me in the black and pink dress was taken on 12/5/14 weighing 144lbs (my current weight). The other two photos are during the process, I believe sometime in July 2014. The bottom photo is from Nov 2013 when I weighed 219lbs. My highest recorded weight is 235lbs but when I began my weight loss journey in Sept 2013 my highest weight was 219lbs.

How Did You Do Thanksgiving Day? Share Your Story
I am 143 today. I'm afraid this may change for the worst. Although I didn't eat much on Thanksgiving, I sure didn't eat right. I'm hoping that if I bust my butt in the gym all week it will stop me from gaining, fingers crossed Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Why did you choose VGS instead of Bypass and any regrets.
I had VSG surgery on 4/8/14. The decision was made because: 1. I was extremely afraid of having my insides re-routed 2. I have a history of non-compliance with taking my meds, including my blood pressure meds so my surgeon felt VSG was best for me 3. I needed to loose less than 100 pounds I am extremely happy with my decision. I haven't had any complications and I'm losing at a slow but steady rate. I'm 7 months out and have 16 more pounds to lose to reach my goal. Then maybe I will try for an additional 10 pounds. I wish you the best on your journey.

Homestretch to 1st year VSG anniversary: Must focus!
@@Dr-Patient - I am definitely sending good vibes your way. I know you can reach your goal weight whether it be 170 or 150...I am right there with you on the Lays potato chips thing as the lightly salted ones are my downfall. However, I just don't bring them in my house which seems to have solved the problem. Soooo you already know that you have to increase Protein and exercise and decrease those carbs (lol) and you will reach your goal in no time...Good Luck

1 year out today before and after pics finally!

Any Philadelphia Sleevers
Good luck to everyone of you who are scheduled to have surgery or who have recently had surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery/gallbladder removal surgery on 4/8/14 by Dr. Aley Tohamy at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Dr. Tohamy has since relocated to Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA. He is the best!!!! My surgery and recovery went well. I haven't had any complications from surgery. I stick to my plan for the most part but I've had days where I ate things I wasn't supposed to eat (not very often). Please listen to your tummies because it will let you know which foods it likes and those it doesn't like. I'm now 7 months out and down a total of 71 pounds. I have 18 pounds more to lose to reach my goal weight. Again, I wish you all the best
