  1. Mine was the 10th. Everything doing good and seeing it on the scale and in my face, very glad I went through it and would recommend it to anyone that needs an extra tool to help

  3. On the other side of surgery, gas pains were the worst. Every day is getting better, walk as much as you can because painkillers don't touch gas pains. Stay strong and remind yourself it doesn't last forever.

  10. You could not have said it better Mojo56, you and I are in the same boat my diabetes is not getting any better either and I know it will only get worse over time. I have 3 beautiful daughters and want to walk them down the aisle on their wedding day and live to enjoy my grandkids and maybe even great grandkids.
  11. This time tomorrow I will be checking in for my surgery, I am so excited to start a new healthy life, i know this is the right decision for me and everyone on this site has made the right choice. So glad I found this site as it has been a wealth of information of what to expect and just knowing others are going through the same thing makes you feel normal too. Good luck to all the other sleevers this month and looking forward to hearing how everyone does.
  12. I followed my diet 100% and lost 22.4 pounds in first 12 days. Had some head hunger. Congrats on everyone who has sleeved already mine is Monday and I'm very excited about it finally happening good luck to the rest of us going the rest of November

  15. Couldn't agree with you more Mojo56, I do most of the cooking too for my family and have not stopped cooking with my diet. Sure makes it hard when you're cooking bacon or ribs for them but we just need to stay focused on why we are doing what we are doing. November sleevers have a tough month to do it but good time to keep our focus too???? wish us all good luck this month and just think we will look different in our Christmas pictures!!!!????????????????
  16. Day number 11 of pre op diet, after first three days it has not been bad, occasional head hunger but for the first time I am starting to like my scale :-)
  17. Great job, that is an amazing story!

  19. Remember it's not the easy way out, we are all in similar situations, some people support others judge. Glad you made the choice and good luck. It is a long road of tests and appointments but the end goal is worth it. Keep in touch along your journey
  20. I have done only liquids except for plain oatmeal, found if you add a little apple flavoring like you use in your water it makes it taste better, first days have been a little tough but each day seems easier. I was supposed to start mine tomorrow too but thought I would start a few days earlier since I gained a couple pounds from my last weight in Dr visit. Good luck on your diet and your sleeve.
  21. Anyone in November start their pre op diet yet? I am on day 3 had some times where I've been hungry but overall not bad enough to call it quits, I have my mind made up thus what I want and can't wait for summer to show off the hard work.
