  7. Thanks for the info Chiashley. I'm still up in the air about what hospital to have my surgery. Either UIC (University of Illinois medical center), Loyola or Northwestern. I heard nothing but great things about the doctors at all 3 hospitals.

  11. Well I known a few people with Medicaid said they had to do the 6 month weight lost management program before being approved for surgery. I don't know what state your from but I live in Illinois and I'm with an insurance called County Care which is like medicaid but a little different. When talking with my insurance provider, I asked do I have to do the 6 month weight lost management program and they told me it was up too my Doctor. So I will see what happens. I have my first doctors appointment on June 20th.
  12. Oh ok, I talked with my insurance provider and asked them do I need to do the 6 months weight lost program and they told me it will be up to the doctor. So I'm gonna explain to Dr. Elli, that I'm having so many complications from the band so hopefully that will help. I'm gonna send you a friend request on Facebook under the name Lisa Smith.
  13. No, I haven't met with the nut yet. I guess he will tell me what all I need to do at my first appointment with him. I currently have the lapband so in getting the revision sleeve. I'm just hoping I don't have to do the 6 months weight lost management program. Are you on Facebook? If so what is your name on there so I can send you a friend request?

  16. Hello, was wondering did your insurance carrier pay for protein shakes? I heard of a site name insurenutrition.com and they accept insurance. Some say it's a scam and some say it not a scam.
  17. Has anybody had the gastric sleeve surgery done in the Chicago land area? If so, can someone give me some recommendations? I'm going to a seminar at the University of Illinois medical center next week, but might wanna look into other hospitals for this procedure.

  19. I was wondering the people who was revised from the lapband to gastric sleeve did you still have to do the 6 month weight lost management to be approved? I'm having sooooo many complications with my lapband and I'm hoping I don't have to wait 6 months. I need this band out asap.
  20. A childhood friend of mines told me that some insurance (even medicaid) will pay for some plastics. Even Lipo. Is this true? Have anyone ever heard of this?
