  1. Well I survived the pre-op diet and lost 10 lbs. in the process. Surgery is 7 a.m. tomorrow. I'm sure everything will go fine, just have the nervous jitters. No turning back now.....
  2. I am on Day 7 of my pre-op diet and since yesterday have been sooooo constipated. Ran out and got Dulcolax stool softener. No such luck. It's like cement, lol, Please help, need advice on what to take. So frustrated.
  3. Yikes. I'm getting so nervous. Surgery is Monday.....THIS IS REAL !!! Doing good on my pre-op diet, still can't get that 4th slimfast shake down that I'm supposed to. I guess it's okay I'm down about 8 lbs. so far on this diet. I'll take it !! Just read a post that my surgeon, Dr. Fielding's going to be on the Oz show tomorrow discussing lapband. Definitely will have to check that out.
  4. I sure hope you are okay. I won't lie but this is scaring me now. Do many of you have these similar experiences?
  5. I am getting banded on May 5th....very nervous....
  6. Hi Everyone. Yesterday was Day 1 of my pre-op diet. I am scheduled for surgery on May 5th. I woke up thinking this is really Day 1 of a "healthy" and "happy" rest of my life. I looked like a bag lady as I left for work... carrying everything that I would need for the day - my blender, high protein slim fast, measuring cups, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, decaf tea, splenda, skim milk and broth. Needless to say I was well prepared and I think I did quite well. I won't lie, I was hungry but I made it through. I am trying to keep my spirits up and I have the confidence that I can survive until my surgery. I pray that everyone else who may be thinking about the surgery and/or starting their pre-op diet can try to think ahead like I am to how wonderful we will all look and feel in the very near future. For me, that thought is what's motivating me !!
