  3. I was self pay and never even was offered bliss . I think it's probably worth it to go for the longest time since it seems more cost effective if you can swing it. I'm a month out no complications knock on wood!
  4. I could have gone back to work after day 4. Every person handles surgery differently.. I think it has a lot to do with your health and size pre surgery. I had a low bmi 35 and had no other weight issues. From what I can tell the bigger you are the harder it can be.. I didn't have to have drains but I know some who do. I would talk to your doctor. If you have drains I'm thinking you would need a little longer recovery. Good luck and congrats on the job!
  5. What BBQ sauce did you use? All the ones I've looked at are high in sugar..
  6. Pork chop cooked in tinfoil with tablespoon rotel and 1/4 onion. Yum!
  7. The Trojan brand lubricant is amazing!! Same with above dryness with meno but this stuff is awesome and not sticky.. It's expensive like $20 for a small bottle but you only need a smidge so it lasts and it's worth every penny. It does dry up either.
  8. And I actually felt great.. I really had minimal pain.. I guess I was a lucky one.
  9. I put deodorant on an hour after I got out of recovery. You can use baby wipes and deodorant as soon as you are in recovery.. Don't "sweat it" haha
  10. Thanks for all the add's!!!!!!
  11. Hi! I'm looking for some mfp friends please feel free to add me. Alliemorris73@gmail.com I need some help with accountability to log my food.. I appreciate it. Hope to see all your awesome food diaries here's to happy losing!
  12. I eat dried edamame, mozzarella sticks, beef jerky, premier protein crisp bars (satisfies my sweet tooth), a tsp of peanut butter.. Just some ideas..
  13. Congratulations !!!
  14. If you google them there are tons of recipes for protein pancakes.. There are so many options.
  15. I had lapband and was successful with it for 5&1/2 years (lost all my weight in 9 months and kept it off). Then it failed.. I had to have it removed on May 21 2014 and I chose rny bypass main reason was I wanted this to be my final wls.. I loved my band but I wouldn't have gotten it if I had known it would fail me.. It had deteriorated and was causing me major reflux. Another reason I didn't get the sleeve if you have reflux that isn't the option you want to choose.. Good luck!!!
  16. Southwestern eggbeaters and turkey sausage, Greek yogurt with bear naked granola, protein shake, hard boiled egg and a slice of lean ham, protein pancakes.. These are just some of the things I have for breakfast.
  17. Congratulations!!! Welcome to the losers bench
  18. Mojito lime chicken and avocado! Yum!
  19. Yes it is and I had bought a couple jars so tried it and it worked I'm going to try the orange next.
  20. I found by mixing 32 ounces of water, 2 of the single serve grape individual packs of crystal light ( I use walmart brand) and grape isopure I can't even taste the nasty after taste! It's really good. I get 15 grams of protein this way by drinking flavored water that has no gross after taste..
  21. I had my lapband removed and rny bypass done at the same time and I went home the very next morning. I felt awesome and have continued to feel that way. I'm 3 weeks out.

  23. It made my marriage even stronger.. I think if you love each other.. Really love each other before surgery you will be fine.. If you married someone you "settled" for, losing weight can make you reevaluate. We have been married 23&1/2 amazing years. He loved me thick and he's loved me thin. Our marriage has always been awesome but my confidence in myself with losing weight has just added to the marriage.
  24. It was a good first meeting! Looking forward to the next one.
  25. Oh no momma , I hope you feel better ASAP! My oldest daughter has chronic pancreatitis and it can be debilitating.. I will pray for a quick recovery!!!!
