  1. they jerked dad around for a year and a half... I think his insurance only required 6 months of dr supervised weight loss, but it got old quick
  2. IS there anyone who's had sleeve surgery 50-70 years ago? Is there any studies about the long term affects on someone? I'm younger,28, so concerned a bit
  3. I had mine on Friday. I still have to go back for another test or something. I'm just praying if this isn't Gods will that insurance doesn't work out (is that bad)
  4. I'm working on getting sleeved. If the surgeon decides because of reflux they recommend bypass I will refuse because I'm 28.
  5. Anyone who's had sleeve surgery have gerd before hand? How about a hiatal hernia... I have gerd pretty bad on protonics twice a day. I'm assuming weight loss will cure this, but concerned it will make it way worse

  7. I somewhat feel I can lose the rest on my own. I've lost 100, kept 70 off for 2 years... That's pretty good, at least in my book

  9. I'm pre surgery now. Just trying to find other things to eat to keep me full, and taste good. Some days I'm starving other days I can go all day almost no food. My meds have wacked me up big time.
  10. Ok tried one tonight for dinner, filled me up just fine. Had it with soy milk, but now like an hour later I'm super nauseous. Is this normal? Is there too much protein too fast?
  11. I had a weird one once when I was in the er, they all freaked out... Went to my cardiologist, he said it had to do with where the lead was placed

  15. Isn't gerd caused by obesity? Won't losing weight help gerd in the long run? I never had gerd till they found it kinda thing... I was just nauseaus. Now have it so bad I'm on protonics twice a day. I'm pre surgery and still trying to jump through insurance hoops now. ... They want to sleeve me, but now concerned reading this. The acid last checked has burnt to my voice box. I'm concerned it will get worse with sleeve surgery. But, I'm physically or mentally not able to do bypass
  16. My doctor just told me to push the fact that I have a rate brain disease caused by obesity, that it has been proven to go into remission by surgery. That I want to keep my eye sight, that this has nothing to do with cosmetic, all about my eye sight
  17. What is the phych eval like? Is it written or verbal? I'm so nervous about this
  18. I'm from Indy. Doctor is pushing sleeve. May not be able to get it because of insurance and obamacare
