  6. Am head hungry and sight hungry. I had my VGS on the 25th of April. I followed my doctors two week liquid diet as he ordered. Now I am starting week four of the same diet. Chicken broth, powerade zero the usual things. Every where we go there is food all over the place. I never realized how life revolved around food until this surgery. Not the needed food to survive but the if I see it I am going to eat it need. I have done good ( as far as hunger) until yesterday and today I feel starved buy my stomach is fine. It does not hurt nor does it cramp. I am assuming this is head hunger that I have been reading about. Does it ever go away?
  7. Prayers for a great surgery and easy recovery.
  8. Thanks everyone that's what I thought. The only orders I got from my dr was not to lift anything over ten pounds.
  9. Had surgery last Friday and Wednesday I cleaned house. I did all my weekly chores but took my time and rested between. Then I did laundry but only lifted the light clothes. I left the heavy stuff for the hubby. Did I mess up or can I mess up my new tummy doing small chores? I hate just sitting around.
  10. Can you do potato soup broth?

  14. Was sleeved yesterday and although I have pain and nausea I am doing good. I walk and move around. My nausea is from the pain meds mostly because I don't take anything but Tylenol regularly. So glad I did it.
  15. I was scared to death and keep going back and forth. I decided to go through with it the way I was going my weight was going to kill me. At least I did something to help improve my health. I had it yesterday. I will be honest it hurt, I am nausea and I felt like an elephant sat on me. Today I have walked and the other things are easing.

  18. Thank all of you for the reassurance. I have never felt old living by the motto your only as old as you feel. So I took that remark to heart I guess. I have stuck to my pre-op diet 100% as hard as it has been. She really messed up my mind set. But I push and prayed through and am still ready for surgery.
  19. I everyone I have about 30 hours and I will be sleeved. I was not nervous until today with my pre-op nurse. She ask my age and I told her and she said your old. I am only 45. I waiting and said you just called me old she said yea for this surgery you are. Now I am scared for this surgery and debating on canceling tomorrow.

  21. I am pre surgery and believe it or not I cooked and cleaned. I told my husband after no more because I cooked for grown women that can cook. They just didn't want to. It is hard enough on a liquid diet then having to cook for others. But I made it and did not cheat. Five days and I will be sleeved.
  22. I am having my surgery the 25th also. Prayers to you for health and support.
