  1. Hi Lag: Well they have me on a slower progression for diet, I still have another week of full liquids. Also, My NUT stated that they did not want us to consume more than 30 grams of protein in one sitting she stated that was all the body could really absorb at one time. The Protein drinks just keep me so full I can hardly drink my other liquids. I guess I need for my tummy to heal up a little more. My goal is 80 grams of protein a day too, i will get there eventually. Thanks for the Info and I am glad you are progressing so well.
  2. Wow, I lost the same 10# the first week, so that makes 50# since I started surgical Journey. I too am pleased with the loss so far and yes I know that most people loose a lot in the beginning but I am happy now!!
  3. Lag, I am doing really well so far. Today is 7 Post-Opp down 10# for the first week plus the surgical fluid loss. I see my Doc on day 10 I am only getting 40 gram protein in and 32 Oz of liquid so need to try to step it up but I just seem full all of the time. I am getting my walks in no problems.
  4. Same happened to me except the threat work for me and I started to slowly void my bladder and it was not required!
  5. Sweetchecks, hang in there, Just a little stumbling block. Be patient and let your body heal, just keep the water going.
  6. Wow you are moving your diet fast. I am still on clear liquids. I go to full liquids starting tomorrow and stay there for two weeks. Then on pureed for another 4 weeks. I will have to work up slowly on my 80 gram protein goal. Best of luck and enjoy walking in circles.LOL reminds me of our pre-surgery Journey at times. I glad your surgery went well too!!
  7. Good morning team, I am back home. Last night was wonderful sleeping in my bed, I got very little sleep in Hospital. This is Post-op day 3 for me. My goal for today is to see if jello will stay down. my recover seem so easy compared to all I have researched. Docs, keep saying mine went like textbook perfect. My pain never got above a three and I only had pain pump for one day I used it maybe four times. No problem getting fluids their, just have to get quantity up after some swelling goes down. I guess my biggest complaint was a desert dry mouth. Have you ever had your lips stuck to your teeth? LOL! I not sure how I could have made it without the ice chips. I do feel sorry for the patient that their docs do not allow that in the beginning it was a lifesaver for me. If you are curious, I gained 3.6# from surgery. Man they pump the fluids in you.

  17. My suregon requires you to use Optifast 800 meal replacement. I have to consume total of 8 per day (base on my BMI of >50). 1 can be a Soup, 2 can be bars for first 12 days. The rest of drink shakes. No real food at all. I would call you NUT, they are better to advise you. Oct 20 is my date TOO sweetcheeks!
  18. I will be sleeved on Monday Oct 20th, My first Consult was April 18, That was a tight 6 months. Insur required 6 mth Doctor monitored diet. You may want to plan a little more because you could not miss an appointment or it through you off a month..
  19. Make sure you have a good thermometer to check yourself when you go home. Get a fever call your doc.....
  20. I sent you a message my date is Oct 20th...
  21. That would be nice to add veg. That would not be allowed with my doc. Silly bars and ice is the only thing I can chew. I can do SF Jello but so far tummy to full of the other stuff.
  22. Oh no, I have not tried Tomato soup but will today. The Chicken was ok. Good Luck and keep us posted! Thanks for the prayers and I will make sure I cover you and your family too.
  23. That's funny, I like the choc the best. However, I can tolerate them all. Bars do not impress me but its something to chew. I miss the premier bars and drinks. Its just 14 days right we can do anything for a couple weeks. I have to do 8 items a day. That turns into something about every 2 hours I am awake. I had to set alarms to remind me. Not hungrey at all so far. I think I will be ready for change things up by the end.
  24. Great! There seems to be several going on 20th!! Please stay in touch with you journey..
