  1. I would like to see the Silver jeans. Can you send pictures? I need 16's.
  2. Yes, I would definitely do it again. I do not eat nor have a desire to eat bread/pasta/rice. They only urges I am fighting is sweets. Ugh...It is killing me.
  3. I am 4 months out now. For the first month I thought it was the stupidest thing I had EVER done. I regretted it, and even begged my husband to put me out of my misery. A month and 2 days after surgery I began hurting really bad in my left shoulder, to the point I could not move. I went to the ER and it ended up I had a tear in my stomach. They did emergency surgery within 1 hour of my arrival to the ER. If you would have asked me during the first 2 months after surgery, I would have said...DO NOT DO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. lol...Today, I say, GO FOR IT. The results I have thus far make it all worth it. I would not change a thing. I would go through it all again just to be where I am now. Good luck to you!
  4. Awesome. Congrats
  5. Thank you everyone. I was sleeved 4/9, had to go back into emergency surgery 5/12 for a perforation in my stomach. I was released 6/11 for exercise. Until about 5/20 I thought it was the stupidest thing I had EVER done. I wanted to take it back lol...I was miserable. I could not be happier now. Even after all the bad, it is the BEST thing I have EVER done.
  6. Can you post pictures of the Silvers/Maurices?
  7. I am super excited with my results this week so I thought I would share a picture. Hope everyone has a great day.

  9. Nicey2u, I tried setting my carbs/protein/fats and it will not let me set them once I changed from what was already in the system. Do you know why?
  10. MFP is an awesome tool to help you track everything you put into your mouth. I am more than happy with the success I have had thus far. I can tell, the more I exercise, the more calories I am able to consume. For instance, when I eat, it will be part of a piece of grilled chicken for example, and that is it. Nothing else. I do occasionally enjoy a bite or two of something I probably shouldn't have, but hey....if I deprive myself totally, I will binge more than likely. I have absolutely NO complaints at how far I have came considering I was not able to do any exercise until June 11th. I was sleeved on 4/9 and then had to go back into emergency surgery 5/12. I had a perforation in my stomach. (Worst pain I have EVER endured). Anyways...I have dropped 4 sizes since this journey began. For that, I am happy happy happy. It sounds like I am pretty much on track with the rest of you guys.
  11. I am averaging about 3 pounds per week lost. I walk/run Mon-Thurs and so strength training as well. I try to eat ONLY protein. No veggies/no carbs. Some days it is possible, some days it is not. For the most part, I stay on track. I DO NOT have unrealistic goals. I am more than happy with 3 pounds per week.
  12. Just curious...those of you that are 3 months + post op, how many calories are you consuming? I average about 600-800 a day. 800 is really pushing it. What do some of you take in? I am addicted to the MyFitnessPal app....I record everything that I put into my mouth.
  13. I was a big alcohol/beer/diet soda drinker before surgery. I drank like Kindle said she did. I have not tried alcohol since my surgery 4/9. I have not touched a diet soda since the day before surgery, butttttt I do have about 1/4 cup of Dr. Pepper every morning. I do not drink coffee, my Dr. Pepper is sort of my "coffee". I do not have any problems from it. I don't over do it. I make sure I do not drink more than 1/4 cup each morning. I say go for it. Within reason. I wouldn't drink a 12 pk...ONLY because of the calories, but I would partake. Enjoy it while you're young. You only live once. Don't listen to all the preaching. It drives me NUTS!
  14. I only tried them on. I didn't purchase any. I couldn't bring myself to purchase them. I am a very "tight wod" lol...I figured if I can hold out until at least October, I should be able to get hopefully a 12-14. I will definitely get some then. Thank again, you guys are super sweet and very encouraging. I wish everyone the best of luck.
  15. Thank you all for the kind words. It was a very rough start for me, but this makes it all worth it. I had a tear in my stomach a month after surgery and had to have emergency surgery. So....I didn't get released to exercise until July 11th. The hard work is paying off.
  16. Thank you. I feel better than I have in a very long time.
  17. I will be 16 weeks post op on Wednesday 7/30. I began this journey in a size 22. I went this weekend to shop for jeans...Holy moly............................CAN YOU SAY SIZE 16????? I am so excited and overcome with joy. This has been a journey of ups and downs. It is the absolute craziest ride I've EVER been on. It is becoming more and more worth the "bad" parts everyday.
  18. Oh cool. Welllll...did you hear me screaming? I went after work and tried on jeans....I did it! A 16 woot woot!
  19. No ma'am. I have hear of it, but I am not familiar. I have only been in AL 4 years. I am originally from Atlanta.
  20. Thank you all. Amyly2n, where are you located? Who Dat 74061, I want to come to NOLA for NYE (my anniversary).
  21. I never dreamed I would say this, but I am dreading the fact that I have to go shopping this weekend. I am so nervous. I do NOT get on the scale. I only weigh when I go to the doctor for my check ups. I have put off shopping except for a couple of shirts here or there, but this weekend I have to do the dreaded.....I have to buy jeans. I have put it off and put it off, but I can't any longer. My jeans I have from pre surgery look horrible. I have lost 40+ pounds and a lot of inches. I was in a size 20/22 before surgery. I am going to start with 18's when I begin trying them on. I have bought 1 pair of 18 capris and they are super baggy now. If I can get in a 16...y'all will hear me screaming from Talladega Alabama. I have worked my butt off so I know if I do get into a 16 if it well deserved. I run/walk everyday...rain or shine and I do strength training as well. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everyone is doing well and having much success.
  22. Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day Pre surgery and I loved sandwiches...Ketchup??? It was always what was I going to have WITH my ketchup. I am 14 weeks post op today and have not had breakfast food since the day before surgery. The thought of it makes me gag. Ketchup...literally I throw up in my mouth if I smell it and bread...I have NO desire for it.
  23. I just wanted to check in with everyone and see how you are all doing?
  24. I am almost 14 weeks post op and will not try salad for a LONG time. It did not agree with my tummy. Very very bad. lol...
  25. I was sleeved on 4/9 and within the last 2 weeks have started to lose my hair. Fortunately, I have very thick hair (way more than I need) lol.. With that being said, I don't want to lose too much. I like my thick hair. I hope it doesn't last to long. My nails seem to be ok. However, my joints have been extremely achy lately. Does anyone else have that problem?
