  1. Will do!!!! Good luck. Had mine 6 days ago and I feel great. Remember when you awaken that everyday gets better. Walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip!!
  2. I'm hungry too :-( which I hate. I'm five days post op. I'm also experiencing right hip/thigh pain that makes it difficult to walk. Almost like I slept on it wrong and as I walked it'd get better but not anymore.
  3. You got this!! Trust and believe.
  4. I'm glad he was able to do it!
  5. ]I was sleeved Tuesday and I only had to do 24 hours of liquid diet so I cannot imagine 2 weeks without it!!! No thanks. After surgery I'm hungry but know my tummy can't take actual food so it's easier.
  6. Isn't it strange how everyone's tummy reacts differently. I can swallow anything. I have has zero issues with that. Makes me wonder if he actually did surgery sometimes. I had a hernia he fixed too and we didn't know about that either. Maybe he just did hernia repair?
  7. Hmm good to know!!!!
  8. Thank you so much for that. Don't know what I'd do without this site. I'm hanging in there.
  9. You'll walk no worried. The first time up you'll be shaky but then you'll be shocked at how well you can walk and how good it makes you feel. Good luck.
  10. Disheartening I'm so hungry. :-( but I am. I've been trying to ignore it. Nope, no ignoring. Protein shake helps a little. I'll go get another.
  11. Nope not supposed to have anything other than clear liquids, jello and protein shakes if I'm really hungry. I can't believe how hungry I am, but damn I am.
  12. Thank you. So some are actually not hungry? I'm starving. Been trying to ignore it. Tomato soup sounds amazing I'll try it. I've been hungry since the 2nd day. Sucks. :-(
  13. Okay I had surgery Tuesday and have done quite well. Minimal pain and gas, nausea only once and getting all my fluids in. Problem? I'm starving. Shouldn't I not be hungry? I cannot eat until June 17th! That's forever from now! 11 days!!!! I'll be miserable. What have you all done? Am I the only hungry one??
  14. My surgery was Tuesday and am doing surprisingly well. I was so afraid of how I'd feel. So the largest incision is the one that hurts. Only experienced nausea for 5 min yesterday morning. I find myself lining up my needed fluids each morning and literally sipping all day long to get my fluids in. If I take too much-OUCH!!! But all in all I'm very happy. Good luck to those going in today and this week.
  15. I had mine yesterday too. They also found a hiatal hernia on me and repaired it. Yesterday was off and on rough. I'd do great and then be in pain. Today I have a constant nagging headache but am happy to be home. I, too, got intermediate sleep between blood work, checking vitals and Helprin shots. Meds make me the pain go away but make me feel hungover and yucky.
  16. Thank you!!! Just awoke to blood test then doc will come in and I should be released to home!! Woohoo!!
  17. Good Evening all! I had my surgery this morning. I awoke to great of gas pain, but no other pain. No nausea and no vomiting. Walking is definitely the key. I have walked every hour on the hours since 2 hours after surgery. I have even managed to finished off two 20 oz bottles of water and 16.9 oz bottle of propel zero!!! Feeling great. They just weighed me and I'm up 7 lbs from all the fluid. It just means I'm not dehydrated!! :-). Good luck to the rest of you!!!
  18. How far into your journey did you experience dehydration? That scares the heck out of me. Any advice?
