  1. Congrats!!! See you on the other side!!
  2. I just has to maintain before surgery. I only lost 3 lbs. and my doc said what shrinks your liver is the 24 hour liquid diet before surgery.
  3. Definitely!! I had mine June 3. Down 18 lbs. :-)
  4. Very encouraging! I'm almost 3 weeks preop but everything you said is so true.
  5. My doc said avocado is handled by tummy perfectly, it's just too fattening to use regularly. That's why he says sparingly.
  6. I agree wholeheartedly. Can't return to previous habits without expecting the same results. I didn't go through this to go back to those eating habits.
  7. Those things are permanently off the list. There is no nutritional value in corn, noodles, rice potatoes, chips, taco shells for our small tummies. Protein first. It has more seity and will stick with you. Avocado is really fattening and to be eat very sparingly. Lettuce in salad fills tummy but not with what it needs-protein!!!
  8. So reading all of this came at the right time. I woke up and weighed and went up 1.2 lbs. I was sleeved 11 days ago. Maybe it's swelling? Either way I'll quit weighing.
  9. Welcome bigluke!
  10. Interesting about out tummies being most swollen in the mornings.
  11. I'm too thru with this liquid diet.
  12. I'm 10 days post op and I feel amazing!!! I'm back at work as of yesterday. The surgery was much easier than I had anticipated. Has was my only issue. Thankfully no nausea. Stomach muscles will be super sore but each day you're better!!!
  13. Jennifer your story sounds identical to mine. I'm 8 days post op. My largest incision hurt for days. MUCH better now. I, too, decided to sleep in the recliner as the bed killed my abs. I also has a hernia repair. I had no clue I had a hiatal hernia. Go figure. Glad you're on the mend!!! Every day is better!!!!!
  14. So why Mexico? I see that a lot and am just curious.
  15. Ugh nausea is the worst. Walking does help but that isn't always what you want to do :-( hang in there it'll be better with each passing day.
  16. Congrats! Remember each day is better.
  17. t Thanks for this!!!
