  1. You look beautiful wicked beauty. I never thought I had a fat face but that's the first place that I've lost weight. Your face has slimmed down too. Good job!
  2. MrsGloMartin I sent you a request. I welcome anyone who would like to be friends my email is Msshellg@yahoo.com
  3. What kind of unflavored protein do you guys use and how do you mix it?
  4. Amy, how much protein are you getting each day and what sorts of things are you eating? I am so tired of shakes. But I am unable to get any real protein numbers any other way. I totally a Dislike yogurt and cottage cheese.
  5. You should always do what your doctor has suggested and we all know that each doctor is different. I can only do soft veggies and meats. I'm having a hard time getting all my Protein in. I hate the shakes but if I don't drink them, then my protein is way off. I'm trying to transition to eating more food and less on the protein shakes but it hard. I am allotted 100gms of carbs so I sometimes eat crackers with my tuna.. But I no a lot of people stay away from carbs totally. In the end, do as your physician has ordered.
  6. MrsGloMartin, You rock!!! You look incredible!!! Good job!
  7. Jess you seem like an excellent cook!!
  8. I'm enjoying my new food choices, I'm actually doing more soft foods than puréed. My problem is that I feel like I can eat more than I think I should. I know I don't do a good job of weighing my food. I just had a small Wendy's chili for lunch and I ate 1/2 of it... Is this to much?
  9. I am having a hard time waiting to drink after eating.. Any suggestions?
  10. I'm in much better spirits, but I still have trouble getting in my protein. I'm not getting enough, I know I can just drink a protein shake but they make me sick on my stomach. I still drink them, just not as much.. I guess I will have to try harder.
  11. I hope everyone has a better day tomorrow. Today I had tuna and it was good. I did not have any trouble eating it. It is really hard to not drink when you eat and chew chew chew makes you not want to eat. We have to think so much about every bite. However I am grateful for the ability to eat. I just have to remember to take it all slow. I am glad that my doctor is not a rigid with my diet, she lets you do pureed/ soft just as long as you chew chew chew. So that's good. It has helped improve my attitude.
  12. Kookichu, You are an excellent writer!!! Reading your post was like reading a good book! I think you are doing awesome an I want to thank you for your continued updates... Many times we follow someone's post and then they stop posting and we are left wondering... Keep up the good work and you are doing awesome!
  13. My April Buddies, I hate to hear of any difficulties anyone is having. I do get nauseated after eating and especially after drinking the Protein. It makes me feel really bad. Not so much after drinking Water. I was able to "eat" some last night and it went down pretty good.. I out eat in parenthesis because I can only get down a tiny amount. But I am thankful for that! Gixxergirl please take care if yourself!! You've been doing so good, I pray it all corrects itself. I'm officially 2 weeks post op today and this is the first day I have felt more like me... I'm talking about from a mental standpoint. I have been so depressed.
  14. I'm sorry Gixxergirl!!! I know how you feel!!! I was allowed to have eggs yesterday!! I was so excited but when I ate them it didn't taste good... I only had a very small amount... I was depressed again but today is a new day and I'm gonna try it again. Not eggs but tuna today!!!! Whoop whoop! I did eat 2 peanut butter crackers yesterday and they were yummy!!!!
  15. As usual MrsGloMartin you are reminding me of how to behave!!! I appreciate your information and your positive attitude is infectious!!! I will change my mind set and stop feeling sorry for myself!!! The pity party is over!
  16. Guess what guys!!!! I'm officially on puréed/soft foods!!!!! She wants me to go slow and I will. I am just grateful for options!!! So happy and it doesn't hurt that I'm down 20lbs from highest weight!! Current weight 261... I wanted to be in the 250's but I will take it!
  17. I don't know about mixing with fruit, but I do know I would go crazy with one more week of liquids!!! Praying for puréed!
  18. I am almost 2 weeks post op, but I'm still in regret stage... I don't regret it totally.. I know it will change my life, but I've been so depressed for these two weeks, I'm just ready for some sort or normal????
  19. I have found that tuna is on many puréed food list. I'm not officially on puréed food but I do go for my first post op tomorrow so I'm praying that I am released to stage 2!!!!
  20. Gixxergirl I will try your method if I ever get brave enough to try it again!!!! That was sooo awful!!! It smelled good like it might have tasted good... It's a lot of protein at once but yuck yuck yuck!!!! On another note... I'm ready for puréed foods but I don't know where to start!!! I think tuna will be the easiest to get down... Any ideas anyone?
  21. So this morning is had liquid protein by New Whey.. Grape flavored... This was the nastiest thing ever and then to finish it off, it gave me diarrhea... I'm not having a good day.. Trying to get in my liquids but just not feeling it!
