  1. I have a pretty good stockpile and try to rotate my Protein sources. Here are the ones that I use: Yes Whey Protein Bullets - 24g/3oz Iso Pure Ready Made drinks - 40g/20oz - hint, dilute these with Water to make them taste better ON Nutrition Whey Protein - 24g/ 8 oz Optimum Nutrition Casein Protein - 24 g/8oz Optimum Nutrion Pro Complex - 60g/8oz Iso Pure Non Flavored Whey - 26g/8 oz Premeir Protein ready made shakes - 30g/12 oz
  2. I suggest picking up a couple of different types of Protein. While Whey Proteins are a good source of protein, it has an immediate uptake and won't keep you full. So look into Casein Protein, which is a slow digesting protein and will keep you full longer. http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Protein-Chocolate-Supreme/dp/B002DYJ0OI/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1398299963&sr=1-1&keywords=Casein+Protein The other one that I swear by is the Pro Complex. It's 60grams of protein in 8oz. I usually start my day off with one of these and am almost at my protein goal. While the protein is on the expensive side, it's made up of Whey, Casien, Egg and Soy - so it will keep you going all morning. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DYJ0AW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  4. Well, I'm post day 9 and my advice is to just keep trying. The first (4) days post surgery I had to stay in the hospital as I couldn't get down an ounce - so they would not let me go home due to obvious dehydration concerns. But after day 4, things started to become better and I kept after it with short/obtainable goals. Now I am up to 90-100 oz / day with 120-150 grams of protein/day. So I know how discouraging it is in the beginning, but believe me, the persistance will pay off and you will soon be up to where you should be.
  5. I find they taste like half-set Jello. If you mixed them in Water, they do taste better. But I recently found they are made mostly with Collagen Proteins, which is not a good quality protein (Google collagen protein bioavailability). Since I’m only a week out from surgery and on the liquids only phase, I’ve been sticking to the Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex to hit my mark. While it’s not a shot, it’s 60g of protein when mixed with 8oz of water. So one of these for Breakfast carries me over to lunch and then I switch to the Whey and Casein proteins.
