  1. Good luck everyone! I'm 12 days post op, first day back at work, and feeling good! The gas the first couple of days is hard. Walk! Walk! Walk! Keep us posted!
  2. I have had minimal discomfort since I got home. I would definitely call your dr. Did you have hernia repair?
  3. Congrats! You look fabulous!
  4. I was sleeved last Wed. I had horrible gas pains the day of surgery but changed pain meds in pump and really helped. No problems since then! The sooner you walk the better you'll feel. Thoughts and prayers! Congratulations!!!!
  5. LidiBell, I was sleeved on 4/9/14 with hernia repair and lots of adhesions that dr had to deal with. Have you called dr about the problems you are having? If you are able to walk that will help with a lot of the pains.
  6. Bobbie, I kept having those same problems with my band. I had gotten so sick but kept going to get meds from regular doctor because I knew what my lapband dr would do. Jan 6, 2012 I had no choice but to call my lapband dr because I really didn't think I would make it much longer. Hospitalized on 1/6, band removed 1/9, and stayed is hospital the remainder of the week.i cried and begged dr not to take my band. I could not eat for a long while but once I did...the rest is history. I thankfully was just sleeved on 4/9 with all but 26 lbs of my original weight. Dr had lots of abrasions to deal with because of eroded lapband but am doing fine even with hernia repair. Don't put off the inevitable! I almost waited until it was too late!
  7. I wore a big flowy dress to the hospital and home. I threw my bra in my suitcase for the ride home. The only thing I used was my ChapStick and toothbrush and toothpaste. I also brought and used my phone charger. I didn't bring a computer because I didn't really care to turn one on. Pack lightly! I got a cough buddy bear for holding when I cough so used it under the seatbelt. Bring a pillow if hospital doesn't give you anything.
  8. I was sleeved on 4/9. I called my dr this morning with another question and told her that I was nowhere near getting in my liquids and shake. She assured me to just wait because that would come.
  9. Brittnielynn, I was sleeved by Dr Avara on 4/9. How did you do with your liquids in the beginning? I finally got in one whole shake yesterday but still can't get in my water.
  10. I had mine on Wed, also. Fortunately, I do not have any nausea. My left shoulder has been sore and have shortness of breath when I do too much walking. Minimal pain now!
  11. I was also sleeved on April 9th and I have had a lot of phlegm. How are you doing with getting in the liquids?
  12. I'm on the coast. Had dr not repaired a hernia pain would be minimal!
  13. I'm also waiting for my surgery today. IV is started so now the wait begins. Anybody else in MS?
