  1. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and feel hungry too.... I love canned seafood and found sardines with olive oil filled me up for hours! It kinda smells like cat food, but I love it! Canned baby clams are good too. Tuna is too dry and I don't want to mix in mayo, too many bad calories. I hate the taste of mayo alternatives. I'm worried though I'm not getting any veggie nutrition, I have a hard time accepting multi vitamins replace the nutrition of a balanced diet.
  2. Walk! Im almost 4 weeks post op and found the more active I was, the better I felt. I was miserable the first week and now feel 100%+ better. I ditched the shakes and drank isopure and greek yogurt. I can eat about a half cup of anything if I chew it really good and eat slow.
  3. I'm one week post op today and doc suggested I try to start eating a little. He said anything you would feed a baby would be okay, but how do I know when I'm full? I ate about a 1/3 cup ground beef with marinara sauce and stopped because I'm terrified to dump. One week post op and I feel 100% normal.
  4. I'm one week post op and feel 99% normal. I saw doc today and am already eating yogurt and chopped up meat. I plan to go back to work Monday too! Last week I was in pain, spent 2 days in hospital, couldn't drink more than a sip and completely miserable. I started protein shakes two weeks prior and weighed 292, I was 263 this morning!
  5. I'm scheduled for a sleeve this Friday, any suggestions for pre op shopping?
  6. I'm getting sleeved this Friday 3/28, really f'ing nervous and a little scared. Everyone says "you're gonna be okay", but that's easy to say when you're normal weight and don't struggle. My friends think I'm cheating by doing this and think I just need to be like them and get on a bike. Im really tired of the protein shakes and have been grouchy at home because I'm so damn hungry. I've cheated a little, only after reading here that people cheat on the pre-op diet all the time. My food cheat has been rotisserie chicken from Costco (cheapest best meal on Earth!), sushi, and some greek yogurt. No In&Out, no Lily's tacos, no adobada, no sausage mcmuffin.....After surgery, I'm finding new friends and plan to eat less. I'm optimistic that the sleeve will work for me long-term... I don't drink much, not into dessert food, and only crave fast food once a month. Thanks for listening!
