Major Stall
It's a variety. I've been taking Zumba and Tabata classes which are an hour long. Those are Twice a week. When I don't have the class, I do 30-45 min on the elliptical & then a couple rotations on the weight machines. That's also twice a week. This is a lot more than I used to do but is it still not enough?

Major Stall
OK folks, I was sleeved 7/23/14 and I've hit a major stall. I was going along slow but steady but now I've been stuck at the same spot for almost a month! I'm down 66lbs and I know that's great but I just can't figure out how to get the scale moving again. I'm working out 4-5 days a week, getting my protein. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks all!

Anybody have a leak with their sleeve?
It's probably gas, I get this once in a while and it's always better once I'm able to burp
-
How long was your recovery
I don't recommend going back that fast. Take at least 2 weeks & definitely wait till they have removed the drain. I was out a lot longer because I had a hysterectomy at the same time as my sleeve. I could have probably gone back after 4 weeks but they had me out for 6 weeks
-
How long were you in the hospital ?
Sleeve, Hernia repair and hysterectomy all done 7/23. Spent 4 days which was 1 day less than they had planned.

Is this a plateau?
Perspective, 30lbs in 6 weeks is ALOT! That's about twice as much per week than the average dieter. I'm 3 & 1/2 months out & have only lost 43lbs since surgery day (55 total) Take a step back, you're doing great!

5 Days Post-op Constipation! Help!
You may not have anything in there to get out. Remember that going to the bathroom is a byproduct of eating & you're not. Make sure you are hydrated because dehydration fuels constipation. I'm about 3 & 1/2 months out and I only go every few days. My Dr says that's ok

Help! Can't burp!
It's going to sound funny but if you have someone around, have them pat you on the back like a baby. I had an incident where I think I swallowed air and it was so incredibly painful. Finally I couldn't take it so I asked him to do that and it worked.

Sex...
I did and I am actually feeling fantastic! Thank you :-)

How do you respond to, "Wow, it looks like you're still losing" or "How much more weight are you planning to lose?"
People are very good at unsolicited advice & being totally inappropriate. I'm not sure they even realize. Do your coworkers know you had surgery? If so, I'd use it as an opportunity to educate them. People have started to really notice my weight loss & so far I'm thankful for the compliments

Sex...
My doc said 6 weeks but I also had a hysterectomy at the same time.

Has anyone become single as a result of their weight loss surgery?
My husband has always been a little insecure even when I was beyond unattractive. I'm sure he has his fears which are of course unfounded but at the same time he wanted me to be healthy and he's conflicted in that. We've been together 18 years, married for 10. I like to believe we can weather all storms.

No good deed goes unpunished
I've been on a regular cycle of lose s little stall a lot. Just when I think I'm on a good run it stops cold. This has been a lot harder than I thought it would be but that doesn't make it any less worth it. Keep your eye on the prize.

Were you allowed to take a shower in the hospital.
Yes, I was allowed to shower in the hospital. The nurses were very helpful & offered to help me but I didn't need them to

Vitamins
I use Centrum Flavorburst, two chews twice a day. I take them morning w/ breakfast & after dinner. Easy to remember & my doc says that's fine

II FINALLY HIT ONDERLAND!
Congratulations!! I know what a wonderful feeling it is. Every time I reach a new goal, I remember how long it's been since I was at that point. It's always exciting & motivating to realize how far we've come. Keep up the great work

Stomach virus or ? (graphic)
I'm almost 3 months post op, feeling a little better today but still not 100%. Waiting it out
-
A couple questions - 2 weeks pre op.
Look at what you're eating also, eggs were a go to for me before surgery but now I can't tolerate them. Stay hydrated also, try the vitamin water zero add-ins, you can make the flavor as strong or weak as you like.
-
Protein...You're making me sick.
I completely understand! I hate the shakes, haven't been able to stand them since the surgery & I've tried a lot of them. I can choke it down but hate them. Hang in there, you're almost through it.

Phooey!
I think you'd feel better in some clothes that fit. Buy them on clearance if you have to but get rid of the really baggy stuff. I've been on a pretty steady cycle of lose a little, stall a lot, haha, don't lose your focus :-)

Stomach virus or ? (graphic)
OK folks, I woke up this morning and had liquid bowel movements. No cramping but not normal. Happened 6 times before I left for work. Was not feeling great all day and couldn't bring myself to eat but kept sipping water to stay hydrated. It may seem like a dumb question but is this just a virus or did I do something wrong?

Haters!
People are always going to want you to do good, just not too good. They get threatened when you do too well. Don't let them discourage you
-
Flu shot
I got mine & didn't even think to ask. I got my flu shots when I was pregnant so figured it would be safe, at least a lot safer than getting the flu :-)

Food scales
Awesome! Thank you all :-)

Food scales
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good food scale to help with weighing & measuring my portions. Do any of you use one or can recommend a good one? Thanks
