  1. Thank you! Yeah, I'm thing I should go ahead and reschedule for a week or so out of post op. Thanks for your reply and good luck with your surgery!
  2. Are you supposed to bring current medications to the hospital? I plan to but just wondering what others were told to do. Also, when you go for your 1 week post op does your doctor do bloodwork to adjust your medications or will I go to my regular doctor for that. I actually see a specialist (endocrinologist) instead of a regular doc. I have an appt 3 days after my surgery that I was going to reschedule but I'm wondering if I should keep it or try to move it about a week later. Any thoughts?
  3. Hope you have a good day!! I start my liquid diet next Monday and I'm scared as heck! I made a pro list (not really any cons as long as things go as planned) that I may have to read over and over! GL!!
  4. I felt that way too until I finally got my approval and surgery date. Good luck to you!!
  5. Lucky duck!! Next Monday I start my 2 week liquid diet. I'm so nervous about it. Wish I could just get under the covers and sleep those weeks away. At least I will be busy tho. All 3 of my kids started school today (3, 7 & 8 grade). Plus after school activities. Hopefully that will take my mind off of it some! GL to you!!
  6. Yes, this!! Good luck & best wishes!!
  7. Congratulations!! Good luck & best wishes!!
  8. Good thread! I love my fruits & veggies too! Seems that moderation is the key with all other carbs.
  9. See, that just blows my mind. So, with the sleeve 5 or so bites the size of m&m's fills you up. Trying to wrap my head around this.
  10. I'm sure I will probably do the same!
  11. I've seen post saying that 5-8 bites fills some people up. Are y'all talking about like a baby spoon full bite? Less? More? Just trying to get an idea. I'm so scared I'm going to mess this up. Thanks!
  12. Good to know! I'm sure I will have to cut back but as long as I can have a taste here and there I'll be happy. :-)
  13. September 15th for me! I'm excited, happy, scared. My emotions are all over the place!! Good luck September sleevers!!
  14. I love spicy food. Eat Habaneros or use habanero hot sauce almost everyday. I crave hot hot hot! My question is for those that have been sleeved and are on regular food (and those that love the heat as much as me!). Have you tried to eat anything as spicy as a habanero? Did it go well? Thanks!!
  15. Sounds like you are doing well! Hope it continues that way for you! Sorry about your first meany nurse! Congratulations and best wishes on your journey!! :-)
  16. Ya know, when I had my gallbladder attack I felt it all over. It did not feel like it was isolated to my right side. I felt as if there was a band around me squeezing the life out of me. It was incredibly painful. I could not even walk upright. I honestly thought I might be dying of a heart attack! This happened 5 weeks after the birth of my first child (which was c/s btw and no where near as painful as that gb attack). I had my gb removed asap. Hope you are ok! Michelle
  17. My husband and I are using Dr Garth Davis. We haven't been sleeved yet but so far we are pleased with Dr Davis and his clinic. GL!!
  18. To help with the froth and bubbles I wonder if you can put a drop of mylicon gas drops to make them dissipate. I used to do that after shaking up formula in the bottle for my kids.
  19. I feel the same! I'm so excited and ready for it but scared too for all the reasons you mentioned. Good luck & best wishes!! :-)
  20. Best wishes!! Update when you can! :-)
  21. I hope all went well for you as well!!
  22. How sweet of your husband!! Sounds like something mine would do too!!
