  1. I am 2 weeks out tomorrow and I do feel hunger but it's not the same as before. Much easier to control now and while I know I like pizza (and all the other junk we all used to eat) I don't crave it anymore. I know I will taste some of it again eventually and I'm good with that. Thank goodness cause I was going crazy on my 2 week liquid only pre op diet. It gets better. Good luck!!
  2. Aww, I cried plenty during my 2 week pre op liquid diet too. You're almost there! (((Hugs)))
  3. Oh Mick, all that sounds so delicious to me (I'm 5 days post op & start puréed on Tuesday)! Can't wait to be through the stages!
  4. My NUT said that we are never to eat more than 1 cup at a time for the rest of our lives.
  5. Ugh, the dreaded 2 week liquid diet. I now call it the soul sucker. Bout lost my mind on it. Now 4 dpo. Hang in there girls (and guys)!!
  6. It is confusing right now. I try to make sure I get my water and protein shakes and whatever else I feel like I can get down (I'm on full liquids so cream of whatever with skim milk, greek yogurt with skim milk, cream of wheat with skim milk, sf jello, pudding, Popsicle). It's really hard tho because while I'm hungry (or feel hungry) I don't want to eat. Can't wait to get past all the initial food stages. GL!
  7. Thanks! Tuesday & Wednesday were a little rough. Starting to feel better today.
  8. Thanks everybody!! I had my leak test this morning and everything looks good. They now have started me on clear liquids. So far all is good. They took out my catheter but I'm still getting fluids thru iv cause I'm a little dehydrated. Hopefully I can pee later cause I really want to go home to my babies!!! Will update later! Take care all!!
  9. Hey now, don't talk trash on my Texans!! Not nice! lol j/k Thanks and good luck to you!!
  10. It's so surreal. I checked in this morning at 9:15 and had surgery at 11:15. Came out of surgery in a lot of pain and nauseated. Once I got hooked up to the pain pump and got a dose of zofran I felt really good except I have been so very tired from the anesthesia. I am up and walking with almost no pain. My doctor allows ice chips thankfully because my mouth is really dry. Tomorrow morning I have another leak test (he does one in the OR) and then on clear liquids. Hopefully all goes well because I really want to go home! Once home I'm allowed to start on full liquids. I hope everyone else's surgery's went well today! This is my first time on because I've been so tired and my eyes would not cooperate. Good luck to all those waiting!!
  11. I check in at 9:15 and surgery at 11:15. Smooth surgeries and no nausea or complications to all!! Good luck girls!!
  12. Like others said, that list should include protein shakes too. Otherwise yes that is all you get on a liquid pre op diet. Crystal light and unsweetened decaf tea (sweetened with Splenda) have been a lifesaver for me! Good luck!!
  13. Yes!! My surgery is on Monday and that is one of my fears as well.
  14. Thanks for responding! I wish you the very best!!!
  15. Oh and it took 16 days for me to get approved. GL!
  16. If you don't mind me asking, why did you back out? I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday and I'm feeling a bit like a flight risk. I know I need/want to do it and I would be so mad at myself if I backed out. Just scared of the unknown I guess. Talk me down. Haha Good luck with your approval!!
  17. Good luck & best wishes! Hope all goes well! Update when you can!
  18. Good luck!! Mine has been so hard. I have 5 days left. Can't wait to have this and the surgery behind me!
  19. I have hashimoto's disease but my thyroid levels are still showing normal. Although, I have most if not all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. I go yearly to my endo for blood work but he has not put me on any medication since it always comes back in the normal range. I figure it's a matter of time though. Is this the same thing you have and are your levels normal or hypo?
  20. I feel the same way! My poor husband has taken my frustrations and mood swings well. Not easy cause I can get pretty mean! lol Thank goodness we are almost there!! :-)
  21. Good luck tomorrow!! I hope all goes well!! :-)
  22. Good luck and best wishes tomorrow!! Hope all goes smoothly for you and we don't hear about you on the news! Haha
  23. That stinks Danielle! I hope you find something that works! Good luck and best wishes to you!!
