  3. Sips will get bigger as time goes on. It used to be impossible for me to drink 50ozs of water and it still be daylight outside. Now its easy. I can drink 75 oz a day no problem and im 2 months and 2 days out.
  4. How is your overall health? How much did you lose? Have you regained any? Do you have any conditions that were escalated by your wls?

  8. Puritans Pride is where I get mine. They usually have good prices. They just had BOGO on Vitamin and Protein. They let you see the labels so you know what you are ordering.
  9. Ensure has 25 grams premade or powder. Secret to any powder is make it about 20 minutes before you need to drink it. The chalky taste will have time to dissolve. Also they are much better once you can have them cold.
  10. I make 16 oz and sip it throughout the day. Since I cant drink it all at once and have to spread it out. Normally it takes me about 10 hours to finish that along with the water and gatorade I have to have daily. I just find it easy to know that once that shake is done it complete.

  14. Just wanted to let you all know I am praying for us all to recover and find just the right things that work for our bodies. Dont be discouraged there will be some trial and error. The things I read here help me tremendously because it lets me know im not alone in some of my struggles. I feel fortunate to be feeling just about like myself at 8 days post op. My fluid intake fluctuates but I try to make sure I watch it. I have been off pain meds since day 4. No vomiting but have had several rounds with the dreaded dumping. Currently im just ready to move to the next stage of purees. I really have a craving for vegetable. They could keep the meat but oh my goodness I need vegetables.
  15. I have tried both. For me chugging equals a dump every time.
  16. Sorry to hear that are you having any painful symptoms or do you think its possible to just try to increase fluids and it will be corrected. I wouldnt wait long befoee deciding to go back or you may end up back in the hospital
  17. I am 8 days out and it was a struggle at first but now im getting much better at it. I determined that if I used 3 scoups of powder in 16 oz of milk once that was finished I would have gotten in 90 grams of protein for the day. Thats done at nighr beforw bed so I can start on it first thing in the am. I keep a water bottle that totals 50 oz of water ans still make sure I have 1 G2 during the day. It's work but its possible. Hope I gave you some helpful ideas on how to push it
  18. Can you also fwd this to me. Teajakes@gmail.com
  19. Mine are really itchy. Im 5 days post op today. Fluids, proteins and vitamins are going in good although I have had to cheat to get in the protein. (My powder has 30 grams per scoup so I put 3 in one shake) That way if I forget to do more it has gotten in there. The incisions look clean, no oozing or leakage. They are dry and I noticed today no redness at the site. I hope everyone is doing well.
  20. Currently I am post op 4 days. Im struggling with fluids but im making it work. What is scaring me is no BM since Sunday and now the left side of my stomach is beginning to hurt. Am I being over anxious or is this something I should be looking for by now?

  24. Im in shock. She inboxed me several days ago. We talked about the loss of our children and attending the support groups in our area. Oh my im so saddened that she lost her battle. Ladies pray for each other and keep each other in your prayers.
  25. Im increasing the drink intake now but its still hard. Goal today is to get in at least 40 oz of liquid plus at least 40 oz of protein shake. Wish me luck its going to be a full time job today.
  26. Surgery was done on Monday, home today, struggling with liquid intake but managing. Praying everyone else had a good surgery.
