Warfarin (Coumadin)
I have been taking this medication for 2 years. Since my surgery, all of a sudden, we are having trouble keeping my INR stable. We keep decreasing the dose but I'm still having issues with my INR shooting high (meaning my blood is too thin). Anyone else having these issues? It's frustrating. I used to only have to check my levels once a month and now it's every week or more often depending on how high it shoots. I feel like a pin cushion! I eat the same things all the time so my Vitamin K does not fluctuate, I haven't lost enough weight to make the dose need to be altered although that wouldn't explain the wild fluctuations anyway.....just curious if anyone else went through this as well. Ok....off to see vampira again! :-)

All inclusive at 14 weeks post op...
try to distract yourself. A hobby? I was/am lucky in that I'm just never really hungry. But in the past, when I was trying to keep from eating I would dive into a project...it usually helped. Hang in there!

cream of chicken soup?
It was a full liquid for me too as long as I took the chunks out or blended them up. Drinking something like this really helps!

Sugery April 10th 2014 sleeve
I am so sorry you are not feeling well! I'm glad your doc likes your bloodwork but really? I too had a hard time with the Protein until I hit the soft foods stage. How long before you get to eat soft food? Other than that, try to get in enough fluids and keep getting "something" down. If it doesn't get any better then call the doc office again. Hang in there...you are not alone!

Protien only?
I'm just at the beginning of my 7th week and I'm all about Protein. That being said, I do love the sugar free bomb pop popcycle. Especially right after I drink my one Protein shake every day (it leaves a yucky taste in my mouth). I have also on a couple of occasions had a little Peanut Butter on a cracker but thats only if I have had all my protein for the day. I have also had a cracker or two with my tuna on a couple of occasions. My idea of a real treat has certainly changed! And I must say that I'm quite proud of the fact that I made it through the entire Easter holiday without one, not even one, reeses peanut butter egg :-)

In regards to fluids I drink G2 which is the low sugar/low cal Gatorade and I am really enjoying it. I can't do crystal light anymore as it tastes too sweet. Good luck!

5 wks out and stll in stall!
At 1 week postoperative I had good loss. From that time till my next follow up which was 4 weeks later I lost very little. And I started MUCH heavier than you. The answer? Protein, protein, protein. As soon as I started getting all my protein in the scale started moving again. I will also add that I can now dink protein supplements that I couldn't in my fist couple of weeks post op. I do use a straw.....that helps a LOT. Good luck to you !

Has anyone tried the Quest bars?
I wAs thinking this might be a good way to increase my fiber to avoid the constipation that plagues so many. What do you think?

Tmi post..... Poop

Awakening / Fear of Being Seen
I understand. I really do. On this site I have a picture of my cat. Even my name on this site reflects hers and not mine. When I went to the no kill shelter she picked me to take her home.....ergo I wAs Sophie's choice. It feels "safe" that way. On Facebook you will find no pictures of me and everyone knows not to tag me when I am in the photo. I'm safe. Unfortunately my career puts me out in front of people....and I feel conspicuous. I hate that feeling, I would rather be invisible. It keeps me from eating out in public and going to lots of social events. In the past, when I would lose weight and start to get compliments I would be uncomfortable and eventually I would go back to the rotund me. This time it's different. I've had enough of sitting on the sidelines and being benched while life goes by...I want in the game!

Over 400Lbs Gastric Sleeve Success Story
Congrats Chantelle! How are you guys getting your protein in? I'm open to new ideas. I'm doing fish and chicken and whey protein drink. I sometimes have sugar free instant carnation breakfast and sometimes scrambled eggs. I never have room for anything else.

Over 400Lbs Gastric Sleeve Success Story
Congrats! Doesn't it feel great?! What is your next goal? I didn't really set one.....but the lowest I've been in several years was 330 so that will feel good. I think I was there for like 5 seconds lol. And then after that there will be twoterville!
