Been banded for 2 years and still can eat what ever and as much as I want. Lost 40 pounds after surgery and have kept that off, But stuck at current weight. I eat and it just goes thru. I have been to the doctor and there is just a small amount left to fill. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED. its not easy when you never feel full WHAT CAN I DO? Its been two years and this sucks.

I got banded on Oct 23 2007, I lost 30 pounds after the surgery. Since Decemeber I have not lost anything!! I have a fill on Jan 7, and I just had a fill last week. It does not make me feel full. I can eat anything what the hell is going on? I have no tool inside me working? I thought it was a tool to help with weight loss it is doing nothing. HELP!!!!!!

HELP!!! I thought after you got a fill you would feel a restriction which would help you in your eating. I got a fill Jan 2 and have no restriction and I am almost back to the way I ate before the band. I am starving and feel nothing, I am very dissapointed with this surgery. It cost 23,000 and I lost 30 lbs after the surgery and gained back 20 I eat what I want and no restriction. If I eat 4 ounces I am starving what do I DO??? HELP!!!!!l

Hello fellow bandsters!! i GOT MY FIRST FILL ON jAN 2, i HAVE THE LARGE BAND AND IT WAS 10CC. I have no restriction at all. I am getting really frustrated because I haven't been able to eat small amounts because it does restrict. I called the doctor and they say it may take up to 4 weeks for a restriction. WHY SO LONG? shouldn't it work instantly? I am going back on Feb 24 for another fill, I am hoping it kicks in before I really want this to work. But its really diffiucult with no restriction at all!! ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME would help!!

Hi guys, I had my first fill a few days ago 10cc. I have no restriction. SHould I call the Doc or wait until 6 week appointment? When I say I have no restriction I can eat anything and any amount and not feeling full. The hunger is killing me. I want the feeling with just a small amount of food but it isn;t there. Any suggestions!! HELP!!!!!!

Hi guys, got banded Oct 23 and I have lost 30 lbs. I have gone from a 50 waist to 46. It was pretty easy just a little pain for about a week. then no more. I am scheduled for my first fill on 12/20 Is there some kind of diet I hae to do before and after the fill?? My doctor hasn't told me yet. I have a little restriction and I FELT IT a WEEK AGO when I ate some rice to fast, it was horrible. The pain was intense and then I vomited it up, I will never go through that again, small bited slow down and chew chew chew!!! SO happens before the fill and after???

I got banded 10/23/07 and feel great, I am still on mushies until next week. I have no urge to eat and I feel satisfied. I do get the hiccups alot. anybody have that problem? I get my first fill on 12/20 Lost about 25lbs all ready.

It took 3 hours and the surgeon almosy couldn't do it. My liver was enlarged and there was so much scar tissue on my stomach from acute pancreatitus 10 years ago he had a hard time. But its on and I am on my way to A BETTER LIFE. Anyone lese have a problem like this they call it NASH (fatty Liver)?? :clap2:

Hi guys I get banded on Oct 23 and I am a little nervous but very excited also!! The only thing that I will have a hard time with is drinking during meals., before meals, and after meals After 53 years of drinking it will be tough. Does any one have any suggestions to get me throught that?? Alsoo can you have a little sip here and there?

Why is it so important about not drinking water before dinner, up to a certain time? I can see why not drinking during dinner because the food will just flow through, but why beforei?

HEy Guys, I get banded on Oct 23!!! I have a gym in my house I never use of course my wife and kids use it. I have a treadmill and a bow flex. CAn someone give a specific exercise program I can do THANKS...

Hey guys. I read somewhere about a band person cheating on food. How can you cheat you can't eat a lot of food like you use too? Wouldn't you hurt the band by eating a massive amount of food, or will it stuck and make you miserable? What do you guys do when a bunch of people go out to dinner, what do you order etc.....?

HEy Wendall thanks alot for your fast reply. I get banded on the 23 OCT. I am getting a little nervous, but this site really helps a lot. It will be tough thru Thanksgiving and christmas being from an Italina house hold but I am determined this is it for me. I am on so many medications and have so many problems all weight related I told my wife and kids I have had it and I will be healthy. I am 53 and retiring in January 2008 so I want to be around. If I don't do something about my weight I won't be around and I am so fed up wtih myself. THIS IS IT!!!

Hey guys I have another stupid question. What about sex, do you have to wait a while to let the band heal? is there pain at the port area? etc..... HAs your sex lifes improved?

Hi guys, getting abnded Oct 23, very nervous about it, it is a live changing action. I have been heavy all my life, thanks to an Italina Mom and family , Also thanks to myself for not stopping eating. I was very active in Ice hockey until two years ago and I got nervous because of my weight. Since then I have been diag. with Type II diabetis I am on 11 pills a day plus insulin. I am 53 and I need something to help me lose weight. GUYS!!!! Does it really work?
